Great game to watch. Sperry played great. Caudill was lights out for Hazard and ended up with 35 points. I did notice Eversole for Hazard really getting onto his teammate Caudill in the handshake line. Not sure what that was about but not a good look.

Wow what a game. Bobcats slow start dug them a hole along with a bad 3rd quarter. The sets Al Holland runs are so veteran. So many good screens and movement with a purpose. Breathitt kicked it in from 3 min in 4th until the end of the game. Proud of the Cats!

Breathitt played team ball today. Playing team ball and defense wins games. Heard Hazard had a player or two quit after the game and one was a starter.

I was impressed with Caudill for Hazard today. Also, thought Hamilton and Terry for Breathitt stepped up big as well.

I sure thought breathitt was beat when they went down in the 3rd by that many points. This breathitt team has heart and they will only improve as the season progresses. IMO it’s breathitts to lose this year.

It looks like he’s talking to Seth but one of the other broadcast shows that it’s Higgins that he is talking to. He’s just out of view on one broadcast.

I hope Breathitt learns from that 3rd quarter performance. They need to study it hard. It almost got them beat but luckily they recovered. When they play team basketball, no team i. The 14th can stop them.

Although I would put Breathitt at the 1 spot in the 14th for the moment, no way am I going to crown them the hands down favorite. It isn't like they beat Hazard convincingly. It was an OT win where the only thing clear to me is it is a 2 team race at the time for the region. It is still January and someone may figure things out and either Breathitt or Hazard may distance themselves but no way is it a clear choice yet.

Breathitt better develop a player that can help off the bench. Seems like they had one sub the entire game and he only played a couple minutes. Hazard is most definitely deeper.. Hazard can’t afford for Higgins to get into foul trouble in these big games. These teams are scheduled to play each other two more times. The next one is at Breathitt. I don’t expect that one to be cancelled unless they go deep in the All-A. But these two teams showed they are the best two teams in the region. But they should not sleep on anyone.

Like I said earlier, neither of these teams will march onto Lexington without a fight.

Hazard did a great job on Sperry for most of the night and Breathitt needed someone else to step up in the 4th. Terry was the man for the job.

Hazard needs Higgins on the floor and a healthy Eversole to beat Breathitt outright but I think Breathitt will be better the next time around anyway. Big Honeycutt fan.

These are the two best teams in the region. I feel like Knott, Perry or Letcher can beat them on a given night if they get things rolling. We’ve got a ton of big games coming up. Gonna be several weeks of good basketball to end the season.

It will be tough for them to compete. Dixon averaged right at 21 and 15. That’s hard to replace this far into the season.
