I had a chance to watch Fleming Co. play last night online. What a fun team to watch. Their tempo causes a lot of problems for teams especially the teams that don't guard very well. Their schedule will get a lot tougher moving forward but they are off to a great start. Coach Biggs does a great job with the kids that he has.

There is only two teams in the top tier of 16th and neither of them needs to be named. Fleming is a solid team but still in the second or maybe third tier of teams in 16th. Solid team though.

No one in our region will stay within 20 pts of Boyd County and that includes Ashland

I have to agree. As fun as Fleming Co. is to watch, it is a two team race for the 16th Region. The one thing I will say about Ashland is that they will attempt to slow down the tempo against Boyd Co. I definitely think Boyd is the favorite but I can see it being closed than a 20 point game.
Most of the coaches in the 16th Region will allow Boyd to run up and down the court and that is a recipe for disaster for other teams. Boyd can definitely score.

I could see an off night for Boyd, which may not happen often, when playing against even a second tier team that has a great shooting night turning into a tough game. Boyd has to stay focused, let's not forget that they were in a similar spot at this point last year then damn near got beat by both East and Lewis in the regional tournament. It's a long season and we are just getting started. I'm sure several teams aren't even close to their peak right now.

Yes, people said the same thing early last year, until Ashland came in and beat Boyd on their home court.
