In the time it took me to type something saying that I was glad Bell was keeping it a two score game I swear CAL scored twice. I was just reading Grannybear's posts when I typed that. Bell hung in till late in the third. Respect to Bell, Dud and congrats to CAL.

It’s amazing how people from the SAME county can’t support a kid and team that made it to the biggest show in the state. Typical middlesboro fan. Hate bell county so much they hate on a kid and team while they’ve been sitting on the couch for 3 weeks. Go Bobcats! Proud of these kids for how they fought all season. We got beat by the better team.  Dudley is still French’s daddy and we still own the county!

It’s a game until the “fumble” recovery. I’ll have to read up on my forward progress rule cause getting held up for 3 seconds going backward and then get stripped. One official also blew his whistle, but then stopped and acted as nothing happened. Inadvertently or not that crushed bell. The super small chance bell had was taken away there or it’s a 28-24 in the 4th and not 35-16. Major momentum shift.

Either way Cal was the much better team, and that was obvious from the opening kick. Bell made plays when it mattered on multiple 4th downs, but then couldn’t capitalize off of the 1 stop they had on defense. They held the ball the whole first 3 quarters, and then let cal have it 3 times in the 4th. But both teams played good and it was a competitive game to watch for most of it.


Thomas is still mr football. Hodge is amazing, but there’s probably 5 dudes as skill positions worth D1 offers. Hodge (wr), Ruffin, #3, 11, and 35 would start WR at every school in the state regardless of class. Conner Hodge and Ruffin are the best two athletes ive seen in 4 games so far in kroger other than Quizenberry.

I would say without a doubt he does that. Since thomas did have over 131, without the offense I’ve brought up in the past that LCA has. Everyone in the stadium knew who was getting the ball today, that’s not the case for LCA and that helps. Multiple times thomas was hit 2 yards in the backfield and made it 2nd and 3. I’ve now seen hodge twice, Hensley 3 times this season but more last season, bodner more than enough, thomas of course, and carrico once. If i was to rank them 100 percent on my personal opinion, it’s

Even if it is more than 131, you think you be other kid would have 402 yards vs BG, 153 vs Boyle Co, 191 vs Pikeville, 265 vs Raceland, 270 vs Mayfield and 248 vs Lex Cath? I personally doubt he can.

To each their own, I respect Daniel Thomas character and play, he’s one of the hardest working players I’ve seen play high school football. There’s no hate here all I said is that he wasn’t the best running back in the state. Ruffled a few bobcat feathers I see. Nothing new from that bunch.

He is the best RB in the state… “statistically”, but we all know the “body of work” against a tougher competition and the numbers put up against those teams belongs to the #42.

If #42 was worried about that tougher schedule and the title of "Mr. Football", then he would have stayed at Madison Central.

What? Stay at Mad Central? Did you see who LCA played this year and the numbers he put up against those team? Let me fill you in. Pikeville, BG, Mayfield, Raceland, CAL, Boyle Co who were all in the state championship game this weekend and Lex Cath was in semifinals.

I thought the Mr.Football award was an all-around award for football. How many tackles did #42 have this year?

Bell knew they had to limit CAL's offensive touches, and they executed that plan flawlessly for the first quarter.  CAL didn't even touch the ball offensively until second quarter.  HOWEVER, once they did touch the ball, they scored in under two minutes.  CAL is a scoring machine, and deserve the 3A title!!

I hope Bell doesn't get down too much!  They hung with CAL as well as most any other team would.

I'm pretty proud of the way the BobCats represented!

It’s amazing how people from the SAME county can’t support a kid and team that made it to the biggest show in the state. Typical middlesboro fan. Hate bell county so much they hate on a kid and team while they’ve been sitting on the couch for 3 weeks. Go Bobcats! Proud of these kids for how they fought all season. We got beat by the better team.  Dudley is still French’s daddy and we still own the county!

Really odd how Middlesbro didn't want to play bell this year looking at the schedules they played Harlan county a school bigger then them but wouldn't face bell but well galdy rip on them

As far back as I can remember I have hated Bell County.  They've always been Harlan County's biggest rival.

BUT that stops when the games stop!!  I have some wonderful friends from Bell County, and I have nothing but respect for the football program.  That said, ANY kid with the records, stats and character that Daniel Thomas has deserves to be Mr Football.  And what team he plays on, matters NONE!!!

Middlesboro will never play bell county again. They have feared dudley 3 times. Played in the 80s, stopped. Played in the late 90s and 2000s until dudley comes back, quits again. Then plays until dudley comes back again, and they QUIT AGAIN. I don’t think middlesboro has beat the dud since 88 or longer, and most matchups have been 50-0 or worse. It’s not even a rivalry in most bell fans minds. A lot of bell county fans got behind middlesboro when they went on their mickey mouse run to the state semis (when the only good win all year was breathitt in a down year and 2 wins were cancellations), but they will never support bell. And they aren’t even as bad as some of the pineville fans…

Great list but if I may add Owensboro Cath Attwell in that list and rearrange that order. IMO. Hensley, Thomas, Hodge, Attwell and not eligible Quisenberry from Boyle Co.

Atwell is a junior right? If we thought this race for mr football was tough this year wait for atwell, quisenberry, hodge, anthony.
