lol best post on this thread

if Corbin was able to get what they got based on championships then Boyle should have something bigger than Kroger. They definitely deserve something better than what they have.

He was the reason Boyle won, plain and simple. I don't see how a sane person couldn't see that. Which, in the end, all that matters is who carries the W. And having said that, if I were Haddix, putting the ball in Quisenberry's hands is exactly what I'd have done.
You are a Haddix Hater and not even from Corbin.  What does Casey Co know about Football.   Haddix your Daddy too! He even beat you while at Perry Co.

They are just like the famous AL Davis quote. “ Just win, baby, win!” They go about business, order rings.  Justin Haddix will have 4 most likely since he left our town.  There are several phases of a game.  Off, def, special teams, coaching, effort, execution, and discipline.  We didn’t win the game because we were also on the short end of most of those phases.  How many passes were completed for Boyle tnight? Are you calling that a win? I’m calling it as Haddix playing to his strength against 2 kids from Somerset, or Connecticut or wherever.  Sage didn’t have time to throw.  But Quissenberry had speed to hit open lanes. Size? That goes back to effort and discipline.  Boyle was smaller obviously. But they had motors that didn’t stop and they were put in the right places that made a difference.

Again.  It’s my opinion that Corbin shouldn’t get on here and try to save face anymore.  Owning it it’s the best way out.  Build from there.  The better team won. We didn’t have all the phases together.  They did.  Makes me sick to read that we were better, we lost.  We were not OVERALL better.  We recruited, paid for kids, got them eligible for a 5th year a year after the Covid paperwork was to be finalized.  If we didn’t have those 2 kids it would have been a running clock.  Haddix would have ran and thrown all over us.

You never gave Corbin a chance in this game, going back 3 months. You were wrong. Corbin lost the game but even a nutjob could have watched this game and seen that Corbin was better. You just can't bring yourself to say that because you think it hurts the case you make that Darrell Tremaine and Steve Hart cost Corbin another title. Sometimes it really is true that the better team loses. Go ahead, it's okay, admit it, for once.
OSH. I promise we were not better.   I tried to say it all year long.    You sir, are a fool.
You are a fool if you really watched that game and don't believe Corbin would win  8 times out of 10 on a neutral field. What would you be on here saying if Corbin had won, like they should have? Did you even watch the game?  Corbin must have possessed the ball 35 minutes. A couple of crappy calls and some high hurdling killed them. Darrell Tremaine wasn't the reason they lost.

Just out of curiosity who does Boyle lose and who does Corbin lose to graduation.

If Boyle wins the next two games, then maybe someone can send you one of the mythical state runner up trophies.

Corbin would lose 9 or 10 out of 10.

I’ll tell ya what tho OSH. Next year………. You, me, Bull and 64sur can go watch a good football team. Hell. You can ride with us to Franklin Co. You aren’t gonna be busy next Friday. Unless there is a roundball game.

Maybe, but his post is accurate. You or I or Bull could have done what Haddix did in this one. It was grade school stuff. Put it into the hands of Q. He was the only Boyle County Rebel capable of beating Tommy's team tonight.  You need to quit slobbering all over Justin. Fact is, he lost Corbin some games while he was here.

A lot of people are posting about Corbin's supposed superiority as a team. Apparently, Boyle only has Dawson and Quisenberry. I'm going to disprove that right here and now. Here are only a few Boyle players who made an impact on the outcome.

Josh Bixler- The sack on 3rd and 8 at the start of the 3rd quarter needs more recognition. It gave Boyle favorable field position and led to a Quisenberry touchdown. That wouldn't have happened without Bixler's big play.

Demauriah Brown- Interception with two minutes to go before half. While Corbin picked off a pass to close the half, Brown's interception prevented the Redhounds from scoring before the break. Given that Corbin received the ball to start the second half, Brown's interception had tremendous implications.

Avery Bodner- Got an important stop on 3rd and 2 in the 2nd quarter that took some momentum away from the Redhounds. His coverage ability, especially during a deep pass in the 3rd quarter, doesn't get enough recognition for preventing big plays that might have altered the outcome.

Jayce Crowe- Broke through the pocket and put pressure on Elam, forcing him out of bounds with two minutes left to play in the game.

I also don't want to neglect the powerhouses Austin Gorley, Aidan Gosser, and Paul McClure. They are tough, hard-hitting players that could punch a building to death if so desired.

All of this is to say: Boyle is not relying on two players and an excellent coach. Every player contributes in a substantive way. That is why they are moving on to Kroger field. We asked the question earlier, who has the better defense? It is clear now. Boyle's defense bestrides the narrow world like a Colossus.

Congrats to Corbin on a GREAT season. Very hard hitting, tons of effort, tons of talent. Hated that these two teams had to meet in 3rd round. Should have been in title game again. Thought Elam played a very good game as well as the Redhound Oline.

Corbin should have recruited Quisenberry from Garrard County . Boyle County beat them to the punch. How many of Corbin’s 22 starters are transfers from surrounding schools?

Congrats to Boyle Co.  I came way really impressed with Corbin.  For once they lived up to the hype.
Congratulations Boyle County and Coach Haddix. The little guys wins again.

From what I hear around town, you all can stay in Franklin Co and slobber all over each other.  No Corbin fan would root for Boyle County like you do. I like Justin as a coach but he doesn't give one sh#t about you(or me). From everything I've heard , the Corbin kids have had a hard time understanding why fans who call themselves Corbin fans root for their rival instead of them. I have spoken with Ronnie Bowling and the guys who call the games on radio  and they have read your comments and don't understand how people who call themselves Corbin fans could seemingly root against them and give them little chance of competing. Ask Ronnie what he thinks of your shenanigans .  And Ronnie and Barnett like Haddix. But they don't understand self-professed Redhound fans rooting for him over Tommy's team.  I dislike Tommy as much as the next guy, but I root for him to be the winner, by default, because if he's the winning coach that means my team won the game. The love for  Haddix that you guys have is really kinda creepy.

I watched it. I saw their best player drop an easy catch on a big 4th down. I watched Boyles best player make plays when he had to. Boyle ran it down that vaunted Corbin defense throat and made them like it. Eat crow. Move on. You lost to the better team, with the best team money can buy. Sucks to suck!

Boyle is no where near the better team. Better coached, better speed, and best player. But, most certainly NOT the best team overall. Credit Q for making plays when Boyle needed it. Also, credit Corbin high hurdler and the incompetent stripes. And credit that s#!tty bandbox of a venue.

Hey @Old School Hound at least one team you were rooting for Douglass won tonight. I agree you guys played Boyle tougher than most including myself thought you would. Congrats on a great season it is sad with the state's silly RPI that this game was played tonight instead of Dec. 1 at 4:00pm.

You just named 3 things that would pretty much solidify that Boyle is the better team…….. how you can have the better coach, speed and best player and still not be the best team is mind boggling. Big red denial at its finest.

What would your sad life be like if you couldn't bash Corbin's kids? Pretty pathetic . What if you didn't have King Justin to slobber all over? I guess it would just be you and your hand .

You just named 3 things that would pretty much solidify that Boyle is the better team…….. how you can have the better coach, speed and best player and still not be the best team is mind boggling. Big red denial at its finest.
Better coach, better speed, and best player(he was the only player capable of beating Corbin) doesn't necessarily = better team. Several people, besides Old School , have admitted that Corbin seemed to be the better team. Corbin wins by 7 or 8  of 10 games played with these two rosters. 10 of 10 if the coaches switched sides.

I thought Corbin ran a much more systematic offense and diverse play calling. But here's what Quisenberry did, surrounded by Corbin defenders, probably the best tackling team I've saw in years, Quisenberry would make them miss with an explosive move to pull out of the first hit, he'd make a move and make 2 guys miss within a 2 yard span, then he'd either finally get enough bodies on him to go down, or he'd find the hole and be in the end zone. He was the reason Boyle won, plain and simple. I don't see how a sane person couldn't see that. Which, in the end, all that matters is who carries the W. And having said that, if I were Haddix, putting the ball in Quisenberry's hands is exactly what I'd have done.

Without Quisenberry, you and I(and everyone on here) know Boyle loses. Corbin had the overall better roster , by far.
Why even mention this?? Quisenberry is on their roster...

With the cost of new trucks in this day and age, it’s a shame Corbin lost. Maybe next season they forego the trucks and just lose to Boyle County the old fashioned way.

I'll eat my crow about D Brown for Boyle County, I think he played a great game on defense. I was just going by his numbers compared to Danville and they wasn't great. Corbin is a damn good team and I think their offense was better than Boyle's. Boyle just had the best player. I don't think Sage Dawson had a good game on either side of the ball and Elam is clearly the better QB.
It's a shame that slandering these two Corbin kids continues to be allowed on here. It has gone on for months now. Would it be tolerated if they were two youngsters who came Paintsville or Elkorn City, instead of a prep school from Connecticut?

Corbin's offense was clearly better than Boyle's. Corbin drove down the field for long drives but just couldn't get the big play they needed.

Happy basketball season
I was thirsty so I got on here to quench it with Corbin fans and OldShitHeads tears. I feel much better now. Smile
