Corbin @ Boyle County 11/17 3RD ROUND
Well I'm not a Corbin fan, nor am I a Boyle fan, but this game I've waited for. From a outsider looking in, neither of these two teams are underdogs, both are amazing, talented programs with talented players on both sides. No matter who wins both these two teams are amazing, just sad one goes home. Good luck to both. I'm just waiting for one hell of a game Friday night.

Just saying, the pedestrian Boyle that we saw  for most of the game against LCA and for a half against both Lex Cath and Scott County will lose to my Hounds. If Haddix was Corbin and Tommy was in charge of the Rebs, the Hounds would roll in this one. Unfortunately , that's not the case. The Hounds are gonna have to overcome their biggest weakness. If the Hounds win by 7, that means they are really 3 TDs better because they start with a minus 14 handicap. GO HOUNDS!!!

Boyle put a running clock on Scott County at 54-14 in the 3rd. quarter.  Boyle played a really good game that Friday night.

First half stats where :
Dawson 8/10 215 yards 2 TD’s
Boyle 17 rushes for 132 yards 2 TD’s
Quisenberry passing 1/1 80 yards 1TD, 1 rush for 12 yards, 1 catch for 45 and a TD, 95 yard kickoff return TD
Brown 5 catches for 196 yards 1 TD
Bodner 10 rushes for 82.   Yards and 2 TD’s

For as of Lexington Catholic.  Boyle put 35 unanswered points on the Knights in a little over a quarter.  if Corbin sees the second half Boyle team they will lose.

I do believe this will be the best team Boyle has played this season.  Turnovers are going to be huge in this game!  Boyle has to hold on to the ball.  Hoping that the refs will let them play and not have a outcome on this game!

I definitely agree with the bolded.
Anyone over in Danville heard an official number on ticket sales?
I would love to hear that number as well!
I heard that as quickly as the sales opened like 4000 tickets were sold Monday morning...Uh if thats a indication of the crowd.
2500.
Wow! 4K on Monday is huge.

I’m afraid the weather may turn some away. Looks like heavy rain all night.

I looked at that but I think it being the ole Kentucky weather system that is so unpredictable, maybe it will clear out before game time.

I think most of the rain is supposed to be in the afternoon. It's going to start tapering off by game time.

Danville is only supposed to get around a 1/4” of rain Friday and I think most of that will be during the daytime.
I am hoping for the worst weather conditions in the history of weather conditions!!! Bad weather and turnovers can mitigate advantages that one team might have over another. Give me wind , freezing rain, hail, snow , monsoon---all of it!!!

Update rain starting in the morning and developing into a steady light rain during the afternoon with clearing expected in the evening with showers possible Friday night.

The Turf won’t be a problem Boyle has NFL Turf supposedly the only school in the state that does.
Corbin better hope for a dry ball and field on Friday. If Corbin can’t sling the ball around and run the spread then we won’t score. Our rushing attack won’t get it done.

Me too.  How much harder do you think it will be to tackle Quisenberry, Dawson, Bodner or the Browns with wet uniforms? It will be like having PAM on them.  Plus, Boyle forces a lot more fumbles than Corbin statistically, so holding on to the ball will be extra important.
Wish they would have just played this one Thursday night.

Why? Because of the weather? Dealing with weather is part of football.

Not what I was implying at all.
Boyle has already played one playoff game on a Thursday. Would rather be able to focus solely on that game for a night.

Got it.

I'm not a fan of the Thursday night games personally. And it's a pain for people who want to travel to see the game and have to work early the next morning.

I wish they would play this game on Thursday and at EKU Kidd Stadium.. The parking and seating will be terrible at Boyle.. Going to be a packed house!

That's true, as well. Gonna have to throw. So, if the wind, rain , and hail won't stop the jackrabbits, then I guess it's up to Tommy to devise a plan to stop them. We might be screwed!  Maybe Greg Taylor will fly in and give a motivational speech for the ages ( "We won one in '82 and You can do it to! " )   Fire those boys up,  Greg !

I like that idea.  Gonna be a  health hazard with so many people. Shouldn't be allowed. Let's go to Roy Kidd.

Corbin has the new 11 million dollar accommodations. I say the game should be moved to the Dave Cox sports complex beside Lynn Camp Creek.

I was getting my daily jogging miles in last night and could see and hear the boys practicing. The players look to be fired up for Friday nights game. This is the talk of the town and looks like everyone will be there.

I heard today that about 6000 tickets have been sold. Now not sure if that is correct or not but that's what I have heard.

A Boyle County parent told me they were capping ticket sales at 7,000 because of parking. No ticket sales at the gate. You must come with ticket already purchased. If you plan on attending, you better purchase tickets tonight!
