District 2 should have a huge effect on the final RPI. KCD, Campbellsville, Bethlehem, and Holy Cross (Louisville) are all currently in the Top 10 and will all play one another.

For home field if they play each other in the semis

I look for Paris to be a lot like Bishop Brossart when they brought an undefeated team to Raceland a few years back and left with a running clock.  That old district with Paris, Brossart, and Nicholas always sent their top teams with a good record to get pounded by either Raceland or Paintsville when they were good.  I don’t see that changing too much.

I learned Raceland had difficulty moving the ball after the opening drive. Had like 220 yards of total O and like 80 came on a busted coverage on a halfback pass from their own end zone. Gutsy play call that worked. Pikeville had an important player out, didn’t score 1st and goal at 1, fumbled inside 20 another drive, and overthrew 3 wide open receivers for TDs behind the Rams D and they all would have walked in with a connection. Still a win is a win and credit to Riceland for winning that game. Rematch should be a fun one. Semis or Kroger will work.

He probably learned the guy that scored 3 TDs and rushed for over 200 yards the next week at Belfry and is the best player on defense didn’t play against Raceland

While winning the regular season game was awesome it wasn’t the one that counted the most.  There have been too many times over the years in several Class A match ups where the winner of the regular season match doesn’t win the playoff game.  I expect the next game to be a very hard fought game but if I know anything about Pikeville it is that they are a totally different animal in November and December and I won’t expect to see anything like the team we saw a few weeks ago.
