I rate with my heart :

1. Corbin   Heart

2. Boyle

3. Cov. Catholic

4. *Johnson Central(Tie)

4. Paducah Tilghman(Tie)

6. Franklin County

7. Ashland

* People(and computers) are undervaluing Johnson Central at their own peril. As the Eagles get healthier, their numbers will improve and they will be a tough out.

As I mentioned before and I still believe in it, Cov Catholic is the best team not named Boyle Co.
#10
Cov cath is a good team. I've just saw one game against highlands. They didnt jump out to me, but they are solid enough that if you dont show up or come out flat, they will beat you.

Boyle- by a measurable margin

Corbin

Cov Cath

PT/ (Maybe Franklin- havent saw them as of yet)

What if the team that wins 4A isnt in this poll?

And what if my semen turns to sawdust?    I'm not giving precious thought time to things which  aren't gonna happen. The eventual champ is on the list . In fact, it's probably a shorter list than the one listed above.

People really voted for JC and Ashland lol

Faith, Hope, and Wishful Thinking can all be beautiful things..... or make people look like fools.

Boyle is the top team. Corbin has the potential to play lockdown defense and shut good teams down if coached properly Smile

I think Ashland is fool's gold but JC will continue to get better, imo. They've had some key injuries that have hampered them They have a system that, when healthy, they execute very well. I look for JC to smash Ashland and be a tough out come November.  But I've been wrong...

I think Ashland can give JC a game this year. Sorta like the Letcher game last season. Because when it counts, they will both be ready.

I thought one of their main backs was out with a season ending injury.

If so that injury won’t be factored in on the getting healthier outlook.

It’s still early so you may be right about JC. Lord knows I am wrong more than I am right Smile

As of now I do not see either Ashland or JC being a serious contender. If JC doesn’t pick it up then they will dig themselves a hole as far as RPI. Home games are important in the post season and at this rate JC is gonna be playing on the road the entire post season.

Teams with lower RPI will have to play away games?  Still learning the RPI system so I could be wrong about that.

Not an Ashland fan by any means, they have nothing for the top 3 or 4 in 4a but if Strader isn’t out for the season they beat JC this year and next. They have a lot of talent and speed everywhere. Most of them are jr and sophomores.

McCoart is out for the season. (1,700 yds, 26 touchdowns last season) The Breathitt County game was the first game where Music and Conley both played a full game. They combined for 372 yards and 3 touchdowns. If they remain healthy, Ashland will not be able to stop JC's running attack. The loss of McCoart was a serious blow to JC's chances of making a deep playoff run.

You do realize that Johnson Central would destroy Whitley County, don't you? Belittling a program so much better than your own doesn't make a lick of sense.

WOW... I didn't know he was out for the season. I hate that so much.  He's a fine, fine back. Just hate that for the kid. I still believe JC can be good by season's end but, you're right, that injury certainly changes the calculus of their potential to make a deep run.
