I really hate to see how Paintsvilles program has dropped off so quickly. As an opposing fan I loved to hate on them but I also had a lot of respect for what they had built. They had some classic battles with my Rams and helped make Class A as a whole better.

As for this game, I have a feeling Prestonsburg might try to drop the hammer on this one in retaliation for many of their players leaving for the Tigers during their run.

Don't count the Tigers out , they have 3 very talented freshman starting in Johnson , Lafferty and Lauffer these kids are loaded with talent and will be very good as the gets more reps in.  Then you have 2 solid players in Grim and Howard .

The swing in these two programs right now is just a visual of what most mountain football programs are. The up and down swings are just part of life in smaller mountain schools. Glad to see Pburg back on the upswing.

Paintsville has never had an elite football program. They used to have a good program that occasionally produced some very good teams. Joe Chirico saved Paintsville's program, partly by attracting Blackcat transfers. This game could get ugly, as Prestonsburg starts taking its revenge out on a Tigers team with nobody named Phelps in the lineup. The Paintsville breed of Tiger should be placed on the endangered species list. Their program has hit the skids.

I was also impressed by 28 and 1. Those 3 are going to be great together

PBurg fought hard but we shot  ourselves in the foot early
