Looked like Corbin had 3:1 more people.

Was Dave Cox there, or in hiding?
Oh the coaching committee was there...up in the boxes I'm sure.

Coaching wasn't what won or lost this game. What could the Corbin coaches have done to stop Quisenberry or Zeismer? Talent won this game.
Corbin was as talented as Boyle.  Corbin wasn't a talented on the sidelines. It was like Bobby Fischer playing chess with Mickey Mouse.

Corbin coaches elected to kick the ball to Quisenberry all night.  That's a fireable offense, in and of itself.

They need to be better defensively, but the difference in this game was talent. Quisenberry was unstoppable at times, Zeismer was a BEAST and the MVP, and Dawson and Bodner had great games. The players for Boyle made a few more plays when they needed to. That was the difference.

And that TD run by Zeismer was amazing.

Corbin's defense  the last few years (against really quality teams ) has been suspect , at best, esspecially in allowing big plays .  Haddix wanted a few thousand bucks to hire a DC but the bossman said no.  Also,  like someone else mentioned, why not play your best athletes on both sides of the ball? Most other good teams do it.
As far as money for a defensive coordinator, I think Haddix would have been happy if Corbin would have supplied a teaching job for a defensive coordinator. I had many conversations with Coach Haddix while he was at Corbin, I know he was very upset that Corbin was supplying teaching jobs for Whitley County coaches but not for him. I remember the summer of Haddix's last year at Corbin, there was a new coach showing up and leaving almost weekly. When I would ask why they left, the answer was always "There wasn't a teaching job available for them." That doesn't seem to be an issue at Boyle. Anyways, congratulations Boyle Co. and Coach Haddix.

2nd hand embarrassment is eating me alive right now. They don’t realize exactly how silly they look it’s almost like Tom e Greer must’ve been the playground bully when old school was kid or something. Greer coached perfectly fine had he won they’d more than likely still complained about how they should’ve won by 3 more tds but his coaching ability lacked and sheer talent alone won the game.

I've known Tom Greer for 50 years; I knew Justin for 2.  When Cox and friends ran off Justin in favor of good ol' boy , Tommy, I knew IMMEDIATELY it was the biggest mistake in the history of Corbin Redhound football.

Taking nothing away from Corbin whatsoever, they have GREAT football team.

But, the better team won the football game.

Period.

Nothing is going to change at Corbin unless it comes from the top down and clean house. Not sure how some people state “tradition” while winning zero ships. Odd take imo. Doesn’t seem like it’s working.

That TE for Corbin was WIDE OPEN, he would've walked in the end zone. The Corbin QB made the wrong read. I thought Corbin's defense would be better having all those shut outs earlier in the year. All in All Tommy Zeismer was a beast and they couldn't block him. That's why he's going to be playing in the SEC. Why in the world would you run qb sneaks 3 plays in a row.

Absolutely criminal. . Ever who called that sequence should be escorted out of Kroger Field in handcuffs because those calls certainly handcuffed the Corbin team.

Unless  the cult of good ol' boy personality changes, the next time Corbin wins a title will be ...

Who were they, which county were they from, and when did they move to Boyle Co. You need to give specifics to back up that claim
Qb from last 2 years was from Anderson county. Quisenberry this year is from garrard county

the QB had family life changes that moved him.
Quisenberry is special but Tommy Zeismer has been just as great.

Dear Dave cox and the “ole buddy system” puppets,

Wouldn’t just be easier to just let the kids have their damn boombox!!

Sincerely,

Doesn't matter whwere Quisenberry is from, or Zeismer, or Dawson. Had Haddix been coaching Corbin instead of homeboy , the Hounds win. Hell, they were within one wide open TE for a TD away from winning anyway, even with the Greer handicap.

Also, Dawson played for Danville.

Lay those grapes out in the sun and they will ripen up a little.

Quinsberry, OR #56 at D End for Boyle was the best players there. I would say Boyle had the 3 best players on the field, maybe the top 4.

Congrats to the Rebs and Hounds. Both gave it their all.

Worst special teams play I have witnessed in a championship game by two teams in 50 years.
Here we go I knew it wouldn’t take long for Corbin fans to start on their coaches lol
They wouldn't if you knew how to coach.

As much as I hate it for these deserving youngsters, these Corbin good ol' boys once again got what they deserved... when you run off the best coach in favor of one of your own good ol' boys , you deserve to be nothing more than a bridesmaid.  Thanks for everything Dave Cox, Steve Jewell, Corbin Varsity Club, Corbin school board puppets.    Maybe we'll get one in 2062!!!
I hated it for the kids and you old hounds.

I honestly feel like Corbin was the much better team tonight. Haddix out-coached the Corbin good ole boys when it came crunch time. That's why Corbin will never win another ring. Haddix will continue winning rings until he goes to the next level. What could have been at Corbin.

And I by no means am a Corbin fan

You're a mediocre coach.

Congratulations Boyle County on #11  #YouLeftNoDoubt  Boyle showcased a lot of talent tonight.

Dawson IMO play one heck of a game!  Ran the team well and was a back breaker on his runs.
Bodner was a work horse like he has been all season.  Hard to bring down and always fighting for that extra yard.
Quisenberry well he was himself.  Always making something out of nothing.
Ziesmer was a man amongst boys tonight. Blocking extra points, Rushing the QB, and his TD run was amazing to watch!
Stone was all over the field making tackles.

I am with a few others as I didn't see where Corbin's coaching did anything wrong to lose this game.  I feel the better team won and made the plays when they needed to be made.  For as of the our coaching.  Haddix was ready and had a few new plays that no one has saw this year that worked big time.  That jump pass to Cooper Brumment for our 1st. TD was something not seen this year.  The Bodner TD pass to Dawson was sweet.  Tommy Ziesmer's 9 yard TD end around was just flat out will.  Corbin played it well but no one was able to bring him down.  4th. and 1 late in the game, well that's Justin Haddix.  He's a gambler and I felt was the correct call. Boyle won because their Talent  was just a little better.

For as of Corbin.  Kudos to Jacob Baker.  He may have had a off night on kicking but his play on defense was outstanding!  One tuff kid that played with a lot of heart.  Combs and Elam are fine players and has nothing to hang their head on.  Congratulations Corbin on a fine season.

I don’t care if they recruited players from Zimbabwe! The people mentioned above ran off the best coach around for their buddy! They reap what they sow. Unfortunately it was at the kids and towns expense. I should name the rest of them, matter of fact i put most of them in my post last year, check it out! Corbin vs JC. You can get everyone of them. Im so pissed off at them and Dave cox they aren’t even worth mentioning. Hope they kiss their ring goodnight, because they’ve cost these kids theirs. Honestly we shouldn’t shame them until they go to school and apologize to every player!

And yea boyle was the better team tonight! Congrats on 3 straight. But Corbin had a chance to win this game, but we couldn’t put a defense on the field to stop a cold. That’s on coaching. Not kids. But I’d bet the farm, if we had the same coach they did, we win 9 out of 10.

It’s gonna be hard to even look at those individuals involved in the eyes. Better yet they shouldn’t be able to look any of us in the eyes!!

For those that are mouthing about Corbin fans complaining about the coaches after a loss, we have made it clear all along that our kids are special but our coaching is not. We have said this for three years.  Also, as far as Boyle's fans go, I will paraphrase former President Trump, I sure some of them are good people. But, fact remains, had THEIR team lost you would have thought you were listening to a Fifth Dimension record from '69 because some of them would have said it was because the Moon was in the Seventh House and Jupiter was aligned with Mars.

Just for the record.  Dawson has always lived in the Boyle County School district not Danville's.

On my behalf, I appreciate the players on what a season they provided us Corbin fans. I really am proud of Cameron Combs and Brody Wells, Jacob Baker, Eli Bolton, Sean Brummett, Troy Faulkner, Zanye Hammock, Israel Summers, Marc Warren and if I missed anyone the Seniors on our Corbin team. I felt like you guys fought hard. I hate to see our kids come up short. I thought they played a very good game. I thought our underclassmen as well did a great job all year! What a year!

I thought the turning point of this ballgame was the penalty on the kickoff return for Corbin, that momentum swing was just about to me hard to overcome. Boyle County players played hard, I thought the Corbin players played hard. At the end of the day, when you are in these big games, you can see the team that has the better overall plan and defensive scheme come out on top. Corbin had there chances especially when Jacob Baker makes that crucial interception to give Corbin the prime opportunity to make a drive and win the game. To see Corbins offense go out with a turnover on downs was just flat out heartbreaking for these kids. They had a chance. I honesty thought that might be the possesion that Corbin needed.

To Boyle County, Congratulations on your 11th title as a program! To Justin Haddix, Congratulations!!! 3 championships and I honestly think this one was probably the best coaching I have seen yet in him from the beginning of the season to the end. I thought he did a heck of a job with his offensive play calling and was really hard to stop.

Quisenberry was no doubt was hard to deal with and I thought the Zeismer sack late in the game was huge. Dawson, man he did a very good job. Bodner did a good job!.

What a game.

Do you think, as some have commented , that Boyle had the more talented team?  Or , as I believe, they had the better overall game strategy and defensive schemes ?
