Top half is tough three of top four teams two of the top five teams won’t make it out of first round

That is a very tough Wednesday slate! And my Bulldogs couldn’t have gotten a tougher matchup for them personnel-wise. But to be the best, you gotta beat the best.
Good luck to all and enjoy what makes Kentucky prep basketball exceptional!

Games will be streamed by Intermountain Cable aka WPRG and D&D Sports. I forgot to mention that in my first post.

Love my draw for my Bobcats. Not taking anything away from the team on our side but that Wednesday slate is a gauntlet.

If I’m Pikeville I’m rejoicing…. Give me lawrence county and Martin county over paintsville and Betsy layne any day because of the way they match up with the panthers.

Anyone know if you have to leave after the first game to get another ticket for the 2nd game? I think that'd be hard to remove everyone in between games.

Way they did it All A was everyone had to leave the lower arena and then back in but I don’t think they had to leave the building.

Panthers have beat Martin by 16 at MC and 22 I think in the All A. MC is playing very well and beating a team three times in a year is hard. MC has an interesting matchup with Belfry that I’m excited to watch. Pikeville had their worst shooting display at Paintsville which is very tough place to play. A neutral site game is much different. This years tournament could be the best one in years.(02-28-2022, 02:09 AM)The Ugly Truth Wrote:Martin county hasn’t terribly matched up with pikeville in the two meetings during the early regular season. I feel like we basically have a semi-final match up in the first round. Winner or Pikeville/Lawrence plays winner of Paintsville/Betsy Layne in the championship..
So the last couple of days I’ve been seeing a lot of post on social media or boards like these that Pikeville either gets a favorable whistle or one fan even claimed Pikeville rigs the draw and picks the refs. So I went to KHSAA and look at all the free throw attempts for the 8 teams in the tournament just for fun.
MC (30 games). 647 attempts
BL (28 games). 516 attempts
LC (29 games posted). 488 attempts
PC (25 games). 422 attempts.
Paintsville (22 games posted). 408 attempts.
Belfry (25 games). 374 attempts.
Pikeville (30 games). 348 attempts
East ridge (30 games). 346 attempts.
Looking at these stats is very shocking. For the Panthers to lose only 1 Region game this season and basically shoot less free throws than anyone besides 2 more than ER says a lot. I don’t see how people can claim they get a favorable whistle when most teams shoot 5-10 more free throws a game than they do. One can only imagine if Pikeville got the whistle that most fans claim they do, how good would they be? I’m a fan of stats like these. Just wanted to share.
Tonight starts what could be the best 15th region tournament we have seen in years. The 2022-2023 class in the mountains have been some of the best collection of talent to come through this way as a whole in years. I’m excited.

Never defeated, always cheated seems to be a motto a lot of fans swear to, that's for sure.
