I have been making video predictions the day after the championship games last year at Kroger field. My Prediction is Corbin will emerge as the class 4a State Champions.

Predictions 8/27/2020:

1. Corbin
2. Johnson Central
3. Louisville Central
4. Boyle
5. Franklin County
6. Wayne County

Corbin is “maybe” a top 10 team !!
To put them above any of these teams is laughable.....

Maybe to early for my top Ten ranking in 4A So I will give you 6 teams

1. Johnson Central
2. Boyle County  ( loaded )
3. Corbin  ( even more loaded )
4. Central
5. Knox Central 
6. Wayne County

Corbin,Knox Central,Wayne County and Lincoln County should be the toughest 4A district in the state.  Seriously

Knox over Wayne? Ehhhh...

Yea that’s what I thought. No wayyyyy!!!! I can’t find any reason to put them above Wayne. But, with other people’s comments on Corbin, I can find multiple reasons to put Corbin above both of them. 


Also, no doubt JC should be numero uno. But how far they are above the rest is questionable. They have one of the best lines in the state, not even disputable. But they lost a lot of their offense. A major part of it, and if you watched them, they lost a couple of key players that were behind the scenes a tad bit, that played a major part of their success. They’ll still be a force, but as it is, to me, how much is still tbd.

id say corbin is 4th or 5th even with wayne .. dont know how you rank yourself that high over them when they return the one player that beat you last year and you lose your two best defense players

Whoever plays Johnson Central has their season come to an end. Just hope the RPI keeps you away from them.

Make no mistake about it. Corbin is playing one game at a time to get a chance at them. We definitely hope to play them on Kroger Field! Heck, they may meet Boyle, Central in round 3 or 4, You never know.

No defending champ is guaranteed anything. Ask 2018 Boyle county. JC should be ranked #1, no doubt about it. But they are not unbeatable by any means. Actually looking at some of their scores from common opponents, RPI, and other metrics, they are that far above the rest of the top tier pack.
