Boyle returns Tommy Zeismer (sp?) who has 2 Div 1 offers as a Freshman this year. He's a DE and will probably be folded into their offense this upcoming season.
The Kicker is also a Division 1 Prospect and will be a Junior next season.
Will McDaniel returns at RB from a very nice Junior campaign last year.
Cole Lantner returns for what I think what will be his Junior year in the 2020 season. He's an athlete that played WR and DB last year but could also play QB.
If memory serves Boyle returns 4/5 Offensive Linemen next season.
Cash Logan and Owen Barnes will be two athletes that should flourish in Haddix system. What does the talent look like coming up?

What does the talent in the youth and middle school programs look like for Boyle?

You have done ALL of these. Please stop.

Boyle should be a top ten team ( all classes) again next year. Some of their top returnees were listed above. You need to add Luke Sheperson an outstanding receiver plus being a tough defender. Caleb Edmiston a 3rd team all state lineman. Jackson Smith is the D 1 kicker and outstanding punter.Caleb Holderman will be back this year after being out with injuries last year, a real tough defender.Add Collin Tiller, Dalton Stone, Nate Rush, Andrew Hardwick, Zach Mason and Jake Hester. All of these plus the players already mentioned are really good. I know I have left some out that are deserving to be mentioned as well.

Absolutely not a Corbin fan but I hate to see Haddix leave, like the fact that college coaches would visit the area, hopefully it continues with the new hire. Boyle County fans enjoy!

College coaches come to a school for players not the high school coach. Doesnât Corbin have a few players with multiple D1 offers?

West VA., Ohio State and Western Ky. coaches were at Boyle this week. Then Reed Lanter committed to Centre. Just wanted to mention this since this post is about Justin Haddix and Boyle co. not Corbin. The D 1 coaches talked to at least three or four players while there.

True but itâs the coach who has the connections to get them there, not all head coaches contact colleges or universities but apparently he does.

Definitely been a big and busy week at the Boyle football factoryânever a dull moment.
Good luck Coach Haddix!
Good luck Coach Haddix!

Boyle has lost several of their top guns, but programs like theirs simply reload. Haddix will have his troops locked, loaded and laser focused with the state title in their crosshairs.
Just curious as to what Haddixâs salary will be @ Boyle?

Good for Haddix! I think itâs hilarious that people were saying heâd be fired at Corbin but he upgraded.
01-30-2020, 03:06 PM
I donât think that anyone said fired? Pushed out was the common theme. Pushed out is exactly what happened. With some fault as to why on Haddix with his arrogance and wanting to hire and fire teachers. Coaches are one thing but teachers cross a line by a coach.

Best of luck to Coach Haddix. Heâs first class!

Ah...wait til you hear the man in person...He can count to 100 but you may need an interpreter. Western education...Great school, very smart kids to take your tests...
But anyway, Boyle has talent, obviously. It is rare when Boyle does not have talent. They have talent from Harrodsburg, talent from Danvillle, Lincoln, etc.. As long as their school system keeps good teachers and good results there, as well as good results on the football field, the talent will be there. Will Haddix be able to "overcome himself" to win with this talent? IMO Haddix was beating a superior athletic team with his coaching, for 3 quarters plus. But the times his own bravado came into play, Corbin, better coached all around, with a better system and mostly better play calling, lost to a team with a grade school offense, but with some extremely athletic players. Haddix can do the things Chuck Smith could do, but I didn't see Chuck make blatantly bad calls, that should have been easy play calls. Just my opinion, outside opinion. I've saw every coach make a bad play call at some time or other, and great ones...well, maybe not Haywood. I'm not sure I've witnessed him make a bad play call.

Nothing against Boyle County, but the only player that has a shot at playing D1 is Tommy Zeismer. Jackson Smith forgot about him.

I know of 6 D1 schools that have been to Boyle in the last two weeks. They have talked to at least 5 players that I know about, maybe more. Evidently Footballfan 33 knows very little about who is actually returning for the Rebels. You might want to look at Caleb Edmiston 6'3" and 310 offensive lineman and Will McDaniel 6'0" and 190 leading running back and defensive back.

The best young coach in the state found a new home, I expect a run at state this coming season.

Neither of the two you mentioned are D1 players. Like I said only Tommy and the kicker are going D1. Period!! I dont care what you got returning!

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage done by the players with no punishment. You canât be their friend. You can love them but you have to be the coach.

Kindly unfair to call out just the football HC. When all sports use the field house. I think they even use it on the weekend camps for baseball. Maybe the blame could be spread around. But it works well for the narrative some are trying push. But anyways, back to the thread at hand. Coach Haddix is at Boyle now, Iâm sure it will stay on tip top shape from now on. I jus say this because my child and many others has been in there several times on the weekends practicing for other sports besides football.
Good luck to Haddix at Boyle, my community and the admin of my school are the ones at the short end of the stick and canât see the forest for the trees. There are a few of us here in Corbin that realize what we lost and how it happened.

More folks than just Corbinites realize what has left. To lose someone like Haddix weakens the entire district, ,IMO.
I wish him nothing but the best, and hope that the Hounds flourish as well.

Don't know what has happened to the field house in the last few years since my son graduated, but I can tell you it was ran down when Haddix arrived. Weight room was outdated Haddix completely updated the weight room with new weights, the locker room was completely updated with new modern lockers (really nice) done mostly with volunteer labor, a newly installed projection and audio system installed in the weight room to facilitate the whole team for meetings and film, and lots of painting and cleaning, I may be wrong but I think some new flooring installed. I have not been in the field house in 2 years but lets give credit to coach Haddix and his staff for working hard to improve that facility. The facility is used by all the sport teams that need it.

It was the football players that destroyed it, thatâs not hearsay. I know for a fact. Tens of thousands of dollars have just been spent fixing it. Players vaping nonstop. And the coach or coaches turned the blind eye. A players coach has to be a coach and not a buddy.
