I believe Belfry can win but it’s going to have to be hitting on all cylinders. Belfry’s defence is really good and with the player back off his suspension it makes them even better. I predict a low scoring game that could go either way. Good luck to both hope both teams come out healthy because this will be a hard hitting game.

IMO.....this game is gonna rest on 3-4 areas:

Can Belfry contain JC QB Preece?
We didn’t last year, and he killed us on the edges

Can Belfry establish the Fullback.? Peyton Hensley has been FABULOUS all season. iMO....he’s been the workhorse and the offensive MVP

Who wins the turnover battle? Looks like it’s gona be another wet one. Whoever wins his battle will probably win the game.

Can JC dominate the LOS like they did last year? Belfry’s defense simply couldn’t get off the field last year.

Should be an interesting game. It’s Senior night for the Pirates, so emotions are gonna be running VERY HIGH.

I have to agree with Bucslover.....these two teams are the premier mountain programs. Doesn’t mean that either one will win their respective class championships....but they’ve definitely been the most consistent and delivered the most hardware over the past 15-20 years. Living in Central KY......I hear and see the respect that both programs have statewide. Whether you support either program or not.....if nothing else, both programs have represented our part of the state extremely well.

Here’s hoping for an injury free game by both teams.

Why would he risk further injury that could hamper him in the playoffs? We definitely want him healthy by the time week three of the playoffs comes around.

I’ve grown to like belfry over the last few years and they are gonna be a problem for everyone they face, but I still think JC has a slight edge over them this year. You said it best about this game though. It has way more implications than just a W/L. The RPI result from this could be huge for both.

No doubt JC game will be physical....but it can’t be any more physical than the Kettering Alter game in Dayton. That game was brutal. Piece of advice.....still a lot of football to be played. I know this is uncharted territory for the kitty kats....but you better take these games one at a time. 😊🏈🏈🏈

Btw Jet, I think Pikeville rolls to the title this year. I am starting to think that NCC may eventually be their toughest competition if they should meet. Belfry played them a couple of times and they were always a pretty well rounded team, but to me they didn't ever have the overall team speed and athleticism to beat teams like Belfry and Pikeville.

In all seriousness I am for Belfry in this game. Hard to argue with either coach but I wouldn't want this game in the final week of the season. Just too dangerous, especially with people banged up.
