Southwestern 15 Pulaski County 7 OT

Warrior 2002 Wrote:This game had zero to do with PC’s QB getting hurt. South Western was the better team with PC’s starting QB on the field. As I said all week SW will dominate every aspect of the game, and they did. Fooley is hands down 5A coach of the year, he was three steps ahead of Hines all night. SW will be your region champs, write it down.

Jep Irwin is coach of the year.

Warrior 2002 Wrote:Fooley, hands down, best coach in 5A. I’ve told everyone all year once he has all weapons available he would be tough. Fooley will be a legend in KY high school football. If these two meet again SW will be peaking by then, gonna be ugly for the Maroons. SW 34 PC 0.

Chuck Smith is the best coach in 5A because he can be if he chooses too.

Congratulations Warriors!!

How much did PC actually show in this rain filled game?
After all, these two will meet again in 13 days at PC.

Could this have been smart coaching on PCs part? Honest question

A coach intentionally losing to motivate his team?

I sure hope not. If it's true, the coach should be fired.

Honest answer.

What happened to the qb?

They may indeed win the rematch but I don't think anyone loses on purpose.

He hurt his throwing shoulder. I have heard what the injury is but since I'm not 100% sure of the source I'll refrain from posting about it. I'll just say I hope it's not accurate.

I hope the kid heals quickly and 100%.

Pulaski lost at Wayne County in 2009 after leading 21-0 in the first quarter. I felt that was a terrible loss for a program with that talent versus ours.

This is worse.

Watched the game. Hines was out coached in every aspect of the game. Maybe this will wake him up. I've seen Hines lose to many teams over the years he should have beat - add this to the list

Did he win any that he should have lost?
#44
Hines has a couple of wins to go with those losses.
#45
Does this mean the team only have to play a 1 quarter game next week?
#46
Truth is if Pulaski has 4th down they are not kicking a field goal. I don't care where it is at on the field and it came back to bite them Friday night.

How many times did they pass on field goals?

Twice for sure.

Can’t believe people are still talking about this game. Hines did not lose on purpose, he was not hiding stuff for the next game. Plain and simple, he has no answers for Fooley. Fooley’s defense had every part of Hines’s offense covered like a glove. Fooley’s multiple offenses moved the ball up and down field with ease. South Western is more physical, much better coached, bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, and just a better team. I honestly don’t think next game will be close. ATTN. PC players equipment turn in day will be Nov. 9th at 9AM at the fieldhouse. Please have parents wash uniforms. It’s been a great season. Team 40 workouts will begin January 1st.

I'm not in that area so I'd honestly like to know, if SW has better talent why in the world aren't they better? Pulaski sits at 7-2 with the only other loss coming against a very good Lex Cath team. They also have wins over Wayne Co. and Whitley. Is SW just getting it together? Did they have injuries and are getting kids back?

Southwestern could have zero wins and still have a chance to beat PC because Foley knows Hines so well. Foley coached at Northern Middle which feeds into PC and has watched Hines for years. Foley knows Hines is incapable of changing his game plan or making adjustments so all Foley had to do is plan and stop Hines and its over. Funny thing Hines will not change anything when they play again and again get beat. That along with the fact that Hines has several players way out of position. I have watched PC three times this year and the offense seems way out of sync. Defense is very good but stayed on the field too long Friday night. PC has better talent this year but good coaching overcame that for SW Friday night.

Do any of the haters have any explanation of how Pulaski lost a couple of times recently in the regular season but always win the rematch in the playoffs?

Hijack another thread for Boyle Co. This gets old.

I’m glad you’re not from this area, if you were I’d tell you to:gtfo:

Foleys followers are sticking their chests out proudly right now but the game that matters most is a week from Friday.

I’ve watched PC a little bit this year, where do you see the players out of position? I’m just curious, I think the same way just didn’t know which ones you seen.
