Strikeout King Wrote:James Durham is the coach. Per KHSAA school directory.
If Jimmy Durham's involved in the hiring process in any way they'll end up hiring another oxygen thief and the program will be no better of than it was under Sad Sack Sizemore...

ky playmaker Wrote:I just got curious. So I looked. North made schedule a lot easier few years ago and stuck with it. It ainât a secret. They have been 100 wins with only 31 loses in last 4 years. First four which includes the region championship he was 60-64. I dug a little deeper just to see how they done against what most feel been top teams most years. Not all. Burg was the bomb one year. Vs south in his 8 years 6-12. Last 12 south won 10. Sadly north 1-0 in the last time they played. . 7-12 vs clay but are 5-3,in last 8. 4-8 vs Knox. Corbin only one they been 50 percent 4-4 but most years they have not scheduled Corbin. So 17-36 against those 4 teams in last 8 years. If my math is right.
I'm still shocked we beat South in the region tournament, if not for Reed Shepherd it would have never happened.

What game were you watching?
06-01-2019, 12:32 PM
If that's the same game I watched, I could name 3 or 4 "Without him" players. I thought it was a team effort and a good win.

Bentley out of 14th

Heck of a hire if they can steal Bentley away.

Bently to North Laurel is very interesting, obviously North has one of the best young players in the state with Reed Shepherd, and they also have a lot of young talent around him like Clay Sizemore. Estill Co returns thier entire team from last year and would be a challenger in the 14th if Bently stayed there, if he leaves Estill they will struggle I think this year adjusting to a new system. Bently coaching style is to control every possession, and that took his team to Rupp a few years ago,
but not sure how that would go over at North Laurel. Very interesting.

I donât know anything about him. What makes this such a good hire?

I can’t believe he has been at Estill that long. He helped at Bell for a year.

I think heâs done a remarkable job in Irvine. He lead them to a Sweet 16 birth, that had not been done I think in 60 plus years. He gets the best out of his teams. He took Knott Co down to the wire this year in the post season when most times predicted a blow out. Jon seems to be a class act off the court too, hard not to pull for him. I think it would be a great hire. JMO.

Bentley will fit in perfect in the 13th. Almost every coach controls every possession 🤣
