Cordia coaching change
#31
I heard last night that the Frazier boy was ruled ineligible at Perry and they didn't want to go through all the injunction stuff like Cordia did, so he just went back to play for the Lions.

Can confirm he is at Perry today.

As for eligibility, I don't know for sure. Just they were pretty confident in his eligibility.

Things may have gone south.

This is partially true he has not been ruled elidigible and he says he is going back to NYC not to Cordia. It shoul have been a red flag to him when he left he was shopped around and Hazard told him they would like to have him under normal circumstances but they didn't see anyway he could be elidigible. If hazard had doubts that should have told him something but that genius that I was shopping him don't have enough brains to wad a shotgun. The only way he will be ruled elidigible is throug the courts and I don't know if Perry wants to go down that road again. You can burn the KHSAA once but they will get you in the long run.

He's still at Perry and I'm told he'll know next week whether he's eligible.

As far as Reed, his may drag out into December.

How can he know next week? paper work has not even been sent to cordia for them to sign, They haven't even been asked. they are not going to fight it or anything, but you always have to get the paper work from the school you left from my understanding.

Is Kyle Maggard going to take the Cordia coaching job? I heard he was looking into it and was bringing Sam Eddington as his assistant. Would be a good team and they both have boys that could be a part of the program.

I just relay what I am told.

That info is about as rock solid a source as you can get. Could they be wrong? Definitely a possibility.

But I can tell you right now the kids in question are under the impression Frazier finds out in a week or so and Reed may have to wait until mid-to-late December.

As for Kyle, I'm pretty sure any interest in Cordia is really an angle for a wrestling match with Rodrick Rhodes.

Probably true, but Cordia doesn't even have a gym to have wrestling in, so that is a bad angle. :biglmao:

Any news on a legit coach for the Lions? Season is coming up fast, they need someone to take over.

Did Bryan Combs back out of the job? Or was he just doing it on an interim basis?

I thought he just said he would practice them and keep working with them until a coach was hired. Don't think he has the time to do this full time. But if he wants too, I'm sure they will let him.

Bryan Combs is the official coach this year. He will do a fine job. He's a cordia boy, who has helped with the program for the past 10 year or so.
