Corbin 33 Bell County 14

chs crazy Wrote:You never answered ONE of my questions just attempted to spin everything, you don’t care about Corbin but troll our threads posting loses to teams not your own. I don’t have to live vicariously through anyone I played sports and am a Corbin Alum simply supporting the kids the same way I was supported and it shows what you know about our community, kids are supported and encouraged in everything not just one single sport, we want the best academics for our kids too. Again what laws and rules are being broken by kids attending school here, are there any or are you just assuming so to fit your narrative? The better question is why are so many choosing to not attend school there, it’s not something we put in the water here and your not complaining about kids leaving Corbin wonder why?

You're the one that chimed in on a comment that didn't concern you, so I don't really owe you any answers. But I did tell you that there are kids that live in several surrounding counties that are enrolled at Corbin. Believe it or not, Corbin has a school district and it doesn't span 3 counties. They also don't have a reciprocal with every surrounding county. So how does that happen with no rules being broke?

Do you know what the rules say?
Did they enroll there in 9th grade?

Granny Bear Wrote:The Bell Co players WERE throwing punches. Corbin wasn't innocent at all and I think I've covered that. I saw one Corbin player nearly pull another Corbin player's jersy off trying to get him out of the way. There was very little difference in the attitudes of both teams. However, when the BC player went down with leg cramps, Hilton stomped the entire way across the field flailing his arms and acting like a spoiled kid. I saw much more of his antics than those from Haddix. Guess that was just the camera angle. But his refusal to shake hands after the game is just inexcusable, in my opinion. Terrible example for the team.

Granny, my only question is, was it a really good game (if you can somehow erase the flag fest)? I mean would it rank high or just average on games you've seen through your life?

On a positive note. (Someone can correct me if I'm wrong) but I don't believe there were any substantial injuries last night.

It was highly competitive game smoke! But for all the wrong reasons. BUT, the competition afforded and the level of passion the players had and the support from the two strongest fan bases in the area would definitely make it a good game IMO.

It was also puzzling to me. These two teams kept doing things that I would never have dreamed they would do. The pace of the game was excrutiating and certainly impacted the performance of both teams. Officials should not hold the game up like they did last night. Make the call and play ball!!!

Most I know of enrolled during high school. I personally couldn't care less, but it's fun poking at the most arrogant people on the planet. Lol.

Who was the crew for Friday's game?

I’m sure your school don’t have kids that live in other districts. Right........

You’re like the kids say, “a real jelly monster” hahahaha

who are the kids if you don't mind I know all the refs don't remember their sons
Can't they pay tuition and still go to Corbin?
Jaguarhoundbird Wrote:Lol. I think Mayfield fans would say the same about you. I don't run a school, so you're not stealing kids from me. But you acknowledge that majority of your kids shouldn't be at Corbin. Good job on that. Another year of the Corbin faithful claiming they can beat the Patriots, only to get beat by Belfry or Boyle. Lol.

By the way, it's "How" we steal your players. Not who.

Man I’d love to see north laurel tests scores on reading comprehension hahah. We’re did I acknowledge anything about our players? You know your school must have a garbage program when you have to bring up other schools to defend yourself. Sad really. I don’t see anyone bragging about beating anyone. Certainly not bell. A matter of fact all I can recall is giving Boyle credit for being the champs until someone knock them off. Including myself. But you wouldn’t know anything about titles or championships. Hell you don’t really know much about regionals.
I’ve just come to acknowledge that you have to direct your hate and despair somewhere that results from the sad state of NL football.

Ahh man. You got me on the “how”. Dang auto correct. That’s a first for you though, posting something that actually has some merit to it.
HOFER Wrote:Can't they pay tuition and still go to Corbin?

Yes they can. It’s actually pretty expensive. I had to pay it a couple of years when I was in school until we had an address change that was in district.
Nothing illegal about paying tuition to go to a school that outperforms the local school in every aspect. People want the best for their children. Its Crazy to fault them for that.

Have you saw the highlight video yet for last night's game. The Corbin videographer put it together. Of course us being a mid level team I kind of can't "love" either team, lol, but the video that was made from the game last night gave me goosebumps! I'll share it here if you haven't saw it and want to.
To get Corbin's back, they have great academics, so if you're in the surrounding area there is much more than football to attract kids there. In SOME ways, this might even impact them negatively if say they had to go on up to 5 or even 6A. Actually Corbin does well at 5A, probably near the same as they will in 3A. In 4A, this year, IMO I might pick Corbin to win it all. Johnson Central and Corbin would be a knock-down-drag-out.
I haven't seen it! Share it! Or tell me where I can find it.

I would love to see this game when both teams are hitting on all cylinders and nobody is doing anything to cause unsportsman like conduct!!!

That’s my view on it. If districts want to keep their kids, well..... get better academics and test scores. Get better facilities and athletic programs. Breed an attitude that kids want to be a part of. What people don’t ever want to mention is the kids Corbin has lost to the likes of Whitley, Knox, and laurel county schools for their own personal reasons. And I’m fine with it. We’ve lost some great student athletes to this. But it’s never brought up by the opposition because it doesn’t fit their subjective agenda and their hate jealousy won’t allow them to see it. But in return we are arrogant for having this view hahah

We’ll be a tad “down” for us next year. I’ll go ahead and admit that. But I almost guarantee you that people will say it’s because of the competition and we’ve always been weak blah blah blah. But I don’t see us on the playing field of Kroger next year.

Probably depends on how strong and how much growth your freshman have. I know the senior class is very good and have followed them since 8th grade playoffs. I saw the "Sam's catch" and about crapped on that play, for a middle schooler to make that. Boyle will be the obvious favorite barring no injuries, in 4A next year, I would think, but then they may have a slightly down year. I'm not sure how Smith gets sophomores so mature so fast, but whatever...they might not even have a down year. Although I could see the current Boyle and Corbin classes seeing each other a couple of times at Kroger field in the next 4 years, just from my own analysis of viewing both teams in middle school, and what few minutes the are playing right now as freshman.

He has some of the most professional looking highlight videos I've ever seen.
That kid is talented! Those clips he put together was great and he even included the walks before the game!!

Gentlemen, we are finished biting each other over recruitment and other off topic arguing. Keep your posts on the subject of the game or I will delete them. Thank you

Oh that catch was sick at any level. Especially for an 8th grader. I don’t even know if I’ve seen that great of a catch on the HS level in person. But regardless, I don’t see us playing for a title next year. Even if they sophomores progress. You still have to have that upper class experience and leadership. Even with Boyle last year, if they don’t have those seniors on the lines and the upperclassmen they don’t win the title. That’s not taking away from the juniors they have now, it’s just a fact. So I think it’ll be a down year. But you never know. One of the best teams I’ve seen at Corbin and was one of the best in the entire STATE got beat in the first round in the late 90s. Then we had one of the worst teams I’ve seen make it to the title hah. Strange things happen, but using logic and past teams results, I don’t see it going to deep next year for the very young redhojnds. But that’s ok. Because we will have probably 3 if not 4 state championship classes coming up one right behind the other. Longmire -#2 for Corbin, the fast one- has a brother in 8th grade that is very athletic as well. He’s more of a power runner contact guy but still has some speed to him as well. Maybe a little bit of a “thunder and lightning” package? Hahaha

They use to be on YouTube but I couldn’t find them on there anymore. If you ever have free time. Keep scrolling down until you find the central game from last year. And the pregame speech from Greg Taylor. He’s from Corbin and played here. Very good player. He’s talking about his son who got drafted and plays for the 49ers. It’ll give you chills.

It’s about Corbin it is my business little fella but I understand you don’t have answers... Again what rules or laws are being broken other than the ones in your mind, name them I’m asking you. Fact is it doesn’t matter where I pay my house payment I can drive my kids to school( if I had any) wherever the hell I want and it’s none of your business
I was impressed on how Corbin just ran it down their throat. One problem Corbin does have though, if Bells QB could pass , watch out. A mobile QB who can through will run all over Corbin

Is this not true for any team?
Great running QB and great passer will cause defensive teams to look bad.
I watched the WYMT game and London is a special player and has always been legit player.. He will be a Mr. Football Candidate next year if Coach will turn him loose.. D1 player!
Is London the QB from Bell? #4?

That child is amazing!!
