Most 6A teams in this area have about 70 players. Douglass and Scott Co have much more. Lafayette is probably above that too. Station, Tates Creek, and Dunbar have below that. Winning gets numbers, simple as that.
As for Tates Creek, the new head coach is also the defensive coordinator and they have given up 98 points in their first two games. I think this is a big game for him in the new job.

Having home field advantage is a big plus, too.

Tates Creek won district, beat all the other city teams besides FD and finished 9 and 3 last year. They will probably dress in the low to mid 40's this week.
Against FD last week they turned the ball over to FD 5 times inside their own 25-30 yard line (2 times inside the 10 yd line) in the 1st half.....2 fumbles and 3 botched snaps on punts. FD was a far better team but it's really hard to be even close to competitive when that happens. If they clean all that up and get healthy they should be ok for the rest of the season.

I read somewhere that Tate's Creek dresses 53. Even if they do dress that many, with lower numbers injuries can literally cripple a team.
Good luck for the rest of the season!

When the roster was generated they had 53 but with injuries, etc. the numbers have dropped.
Good luck to the Harlan County also.

Yes, he has completed that period.
Not sure how he completed this period because I believe u canât complete until ruled eligible. Regardless I think Bears win in a close one .

That first sentence is why I'm saying this is a big game. They were considered one of the best teams in CKY entering the season, and they don't look close now.
The QB is pretty good and they have some nice athletes on both sides of the ball. If nothing else, they should be able to give up less than 98 points in two games, regardless of the opponent.
If they lose to Harlan County, and no disrespect to the Black Bears, then people are really going to be down on Tates Creek. That always has an affect on the players, coaches, and program.

I'm not sure as to the EXACT date that he returned but they were hoping he would be eligible by the Hazard game. He wasn't.
You can believe me when I tell you that Coach Creech wouldn't play him unless he is eligible and approved by KHSAA. He isn't the kind of person to play with integrity.
