Sweet 16 picks

Cov. Catholic over Scott County in the finals. Scott County will beat Corbin by at least 20. Not sure if people are being serious or trolling by picking them.

When they do they will lose and cry and cry and cry and cry all the way home and tell everybody how good they done and build another arena closer to corbin to play in bit no one will play in because of morals. Corbin is on the way DOWN. Remember when I said it. DOWN.

You're wrong pal. Redhounds don't act like panthers. If we lose to someone we will shake their hands, congratulate them, and move on to next season instead of dwelling on this one. Which is much more than I can say for you all. Kids refusing to shake hands, and adults making excuses and tearing down kids to try to help their own pathetic egos. With the leadership in Knox its obvious why the kids can't stand up to the pressure. No true leadership whatsoever, just people who want a nickels worth of power. The only thing going down is reasons for kids to stay at Knox central.

Trinity, Scott Co., Cov Cath, and Fern Creek are top four in my opinion. If I was betting, I'd say state champ will be one of these four!

I'd love to see another cinderella-like run this year, similar to that of Scott high had last year led by Ohmer.
I'm thinking University Heights could be the team to really do some damage in the tournament, especially if Tandy plays well.

Thoughts??

Crying about the refs again hound dog. You all are all the same. Lol

If I remember correctly, the score was pretty close at the half. Scott County was only ahead by 4 or 5 points. I think Scott County ended up winning by 19 or 20 points. Madison Johnson had a big night scoring. I remember the Euton kid from Scott County hitting a couple very long 3-pointers.

Not that anyone here even remotely takes anything you say serious. But this particular ref shaves points for money. And I’m not the one crying act like a middle school girl like you do. All I said was it was a ball game. And if you were smart enough to comprehend anything. You’d know it was hahaha. All the same as in winners, yep. But keep going with you’re old line “wait til next year” hahah. It’s pathetic really.

It was close. And you can believe what you want but there was a certain ref who shaves points. I know for a fact and I knew he had our game. It was a game until the 4th. Now unlike LEADER and his idiotic statements, I’m not crying about it, I knew we were gonna lose because we weren’t the better team. But it was and should have been a whole lot closer of a game. I can remember the spread being somewhere between 12-14 points

It was a 13 point game going into the 4th quarter 48-35. It ended up being a 19 point spread, 68-49.

Hahah I see you’ve went back and looked. I would too, so I don’t blame ya. But I can’t throw him out there like that. Even though I’m pretty sure he don’t officiate anymore. I don’t know where the other to were from but I will say this guy is from eastern Ky. Wolfe co......

hoghead Wrote:Covington Catholic is the best team in Ky. A lot can happen at the sweet 16 Scott Co pretty good also. Trinity and Scott Co will be a great game maybe the best of the whole tournament. Sleeper in the field John Hardin

I watched Scott County completely dismantle John Hardin a month ago. I can't imagine they could win the Sweet 16.

There have been ZERO picks for Pikeville over John Hardin? Man, I expected at least someone. Pikeville D playing pretty stout right now. I’d say that’s what it will take, too. Pikeville goes in averaging 67 points per game and holding opponents to 58 points per game while John Hardin averages 75 ppg and gives up 61 ppg. Pikeville endured two stretches this year in which they lost a starter to injury. Wyatt Bataille went down early in the season and sat out a couple games due to an ankle injury, then Byers went down after the dunk in the All A championship and was out for nearly 8 weeks. You could see the immediate impact of both players returning each time. There’s a very good chemistry and while John Hardin will be a STOUT opponent, I expect Pikeville to hold their own. I’m rooting for the Panthers, not counting them out at all. Go Panthers!!!

Well I’m pulling for ya! As I would most EKY schools. But I haven’t seen either play. Just highlights of pikeville. Good luck though

rojas Wrote:No way! You must not have not seen Hicks' teams play in the Sweet 16 before. He always goes to his bench when he gets a comfortable lead. He likes to rest his starters as much as possible. The Sweet 16 is a long week if you get to the finals. The more rest the better.

Plus, why in the world would Hicks want to run the score up on Corbin? Coach P. played for him and they are still close friends. He has lots of close friends associated with the Corbin program.
Never said that he’d run up the score. I meant he could beat them by 50 if he wanted to

Wyatt Battaile should make the All-Tournament team.

He has to be one of the top 10 players in the state. Not just saying that because he is from my home region but because he can play some ball.

He is a good player and I think he can’t wait to get back in the 16 because the way they played last year. He was also probably one of if not the best quarterback in the state the year before.

rojas Wrote:Are you speaking of Scott Bottoms, Ronald Price or Tony Beard?

You can eliminate Scott Bottoms. He was one of the best referees to ever call ballgames and was/is one of the most upstanding people you will ever meet.

Then there were two.
