At first I thought Raceland didn’t have a chance in this game but some things are running through my head.Ive watched the rams a lot over the years.We always get worse toward the end of the season due to our schedule.We play about four weeks of football outing 40 or 50 on teams and then stumble into the playoffs.The first two rounds is the same,40 + point wins then bam...your playing a tuff game for a regional championship! Not this year....we played a very tough schedule and it’s paid off! That got me thinking about Beechwood.When was the last time their starters had to play four quarters of football?Waybe it’s been to long and just maybe the Rams can punch a couple of scores in early and get up on them! And just maybe we all are drinking the Beechwood juice and believe they are just unbeatable.I know people on here what to say they beat Corbin but I don’t think a team is a superior team based on the number of A’s they have after their name!! If the Rams score early and don’t get lost in Commonwealth Stadium they will be fine!!! GO RAMS!!

An advantage that this team has going in is that they have never faced Beechwood before and they don't have that same mental block that some of us older Rams have about their program. Traditionally Beechwood has owned Raceland in the playoffs and we have never beaten them before. Hopefully this year changes that and I think there would be something very special about winning our first state championship against an old playoff foe that has ended the playing careers of many Rams over the years.

And also to the comment about the Beechwood block, most of these kids dont even remember the last time we played beechwood, some of the frosh werent even born. So if we do have an advantage, its that. Along side of Beechwood has everhthing to lose. No one expects us to win, so the pressure should all be on BW. And where the hell are all those cats that said Paintsville could and would beat Beechwood, doesnt logic say that if that team gets beat, the team that beat them stands just as good of a chance?

I’d say beechwood takes this game. They did beat us, but I think if that game was a neutral site you’d probably have a different outcome. But it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is, I watched that team put 30+ points on our defense. And that is saying something. It hasn’t been done but once this season and it was by them. They can score the ball. Their defense is good, not excellent but Good. They have some weaknesses and can be beat. But I don’t see Raceland putting up more than beechwood will score. Their only hope is clock management. If you get into a back and forth with them on short 3 and outs. It’ll be lights out. If you keep their offense off the field you put yourself in a position to win. I don’t know what the score will be but I’d take beechwood by 24+
