Officiating is a tough job. Most are honest and fair. From a Coaching aspect I know very few I like. Good Luck to all.

I had a basketball official come to me during warmups and say, "I'm going to be watching you big boy." I think I fouled out before the tipoff.

I had one tell me once "Your a big boy, you can handle it" when I was showing him the bruises on my ribs from a smaller center that was trying to guard me. He couldn't so he was using his elbows..
So the next play I "handled" it and got my only "T" of my career..

Oh I agree with the suspension. It’s how it come to be. When a player starts hitting another player in the balls, we’ll any man here would do the same thing the corbin kid did! That’s all I’m gonna say about that. But yea, if you break certain rules you pay the price. But like I said, should have never come to that point

My undersized tackle didn't hit your DE in the balls but he did get him in the throat a time or two. He said he wasn't trying to but the dude, for a tall kid was able to get really low and trying to pass rush and turn that corner.

Officials, from your own county that ref elsewhere, are also a good bit of intel when they referee other team's games. Lol! That's something I know that can't be changed in a state, and referees reffing in their own district. I mean they can't record game film for ya, but they can definitely inform you of tendencies. But in todays world, when gamefilm is just a quick 'share' from Hudl so coaches are gonna know the main plays of the other team anyways.

I can see how that can happen. (Just for the record, I wasn't the one who said anything about your kid being undersized, I think you know that, just hard to tell how you were saying it on here). But yea that can happen, it happened to me a lot, and I wasn't even that tall. But to intentionally punch someone in the ball is a totally different story. And that's what the bell kid did. He hit another kid in the balls. Our kid reacted. Not the right way to react, but I'd probably do the same thing:redboxer:

Personally I feel like working with the same ones make for better crews. You know what the other guys are going to do and it helps the crew be more consistent. The crew I worked on had a weak head linesman and a weak umpire. But the white hat, back judge and me realized this and covered up their mistakes a lot.:biglmao:

I do want to say this, coaches need to know how to talk to refs. If they feel like they are getting held they should In a calm voice say in the refs ear hey watch number 53 he is holding my safety and we would watch for that. Then if 53 held the safety there would be a flag. But when coaches yell 53 is holding so everyone in the stadium hears it, I probably wouldn't flag it because everyone would think the coach is calling the game for you. Now if it was obvious and at the point of attack I would flag it regardless.

For the record, I was that CALL THE HOLDING! type of coach before I went to the dark side.
