In our dreams. Joking aside, wouldn't that be the obvious move at this point? With Elliot at QB?

All of us are not ex coaches. Some just have problems with they way things are done.

I would have thought that from the word go. Because of the line issue.

I was actually talking about "Middlesboro", "WhyLie", and "Madness" to name a few.

Sorry if I upset you jacket-pride. I have actually tried to give this a chance.

Everyone is a coach. MHSParent a stat guy, but most interesting is the behind the scenes Dad. Jmadness98

If most would concentrate on doing better and the game instead of who is who, we might be better. What about the game? Will we get it done?

You don't upset me at all. I told you my opinion. I don't know who you are but to sit here and act like you know whats best for this team or any team maybe you should be on the sidelines instead of behind the keyboard. I love middlesboro sports I'm not proud of the state we are in but i know good and well i couldn't do any better. If you can then please step up and help and quit coaching from your basement.

I agree because most do not know what they are talking about. Should be a good game. Pineville may have slight edge. PHS by 6

What is wrong with Mboro, everyone divided on all fronts . From football to daily schedules. Leadership.

I know you weren't talking to me but I want to comment that I have noticed a slight change in your tone here lately. It's good.

Lol. Good stuff. You're doing your best to stir the pot.

I am doing my best, no takers. Very quiet.

Back in 1972 this game would have been a war, both teams were very good...Maiden, Crocket, Bishop and Fuson would have put on a show...

After Middlesboro looses this game you will see a lot of players quit. Already hearing 3 Middlesboro Middle School 8th graders are transferring to Bell Co for their Freshman year to play.

What good would that do them?

Well, someone posted we were very deep at running back, I guess we will see how deep tomorrow.

Hahaha well. It's August. I'd say a 13 year old could possibly change his mind sometime before this 11 month wait to start at Bell is over.

Maybe we should all LOOSEN up. I know you're pulling for Middlesboro to LOSE but they haven't yet. Let's please lighten up on the middle school gossip.

I agree, everyone has no idea what will happen from now till then. First things first, Pineville tomorrow.

2 games in and gloom and doom is permeating Middlesboro.

MHS Parent4Life Wrote:Interesting. You slide on to these boards under the guise that you are a Middlesboro fan. Then you transition into a bystander. Now its apparent that you're one of the former Bell coaches that continue to be obsessed with Middlesboro football.

Also, I'm not 100% sure but are you trying to put down Hunter Adams, Blake Bowling, and Trevor Hoskins - seeing as they're the coaches on the staff that are that age? I'd love to put anyone's career credentials against these guys'. Every young coach had to start somewhere. I say as far as X's and O's go, they'd could probably run circles around most assistants in this state.

You are clearly on a witch hunt against fromer Bell Coaches. Everyone that post's about middlesboro in a negative light is a "former Bell coach" to you. The poster you are talking about is a Bell middle school parent that used to be at middlesboro.

Need to worry about current state of affairs .

In the days of yore, before the internet and the all knowing fan base, people actually supported the teams and did not question every single move or decision that a coach made.

Middlesboro (fans) needs to reboot and start being positive. Negativity breeds negativity, and brother there is some negative feelings flying around the Yellow Jacket program. You need to bring some positive karma to the program. When you question every single move a coach makes kids see and hear that which erodes the confidence that have in a coach or a staff. If you are positive at least publicly the same thing will happen and the kids will have confidence.

One thing I have always respected about Old Jackets team is that if you talked this negatively about their coach and kids (regardless of the sport) there would be a lynch mob looking for you and the scary thing is they would find you!!! Even when Old Jacket's team has been bad that community has always been right there, I would interject here that regardless of what he says his team has had a bad year here and there....Don't believe him when he tells you the last game they lost was in 1972.......

So my advice is remain or get positive cheer hard and lift the boys up if they get beat and treat them just the same if they win......

Maybe the TRUEST words ever spoken. People who don't coach and/or have never coached in this day and age have NO IDEA how much the negativity and questioning on these boards are seen by kids & how much it infiltrates their thinking at times when things aren't exactly going so good (or even if it is).

It's almost getting to be a joke...or past that.

If your team(s) isn't good, you are going to hear about it.

If your team is good, and you lose one here or there, the finger pointing and questioning begins. Just this week, on another site, a thread was started calling for the HC at John Hardin's job....after all, they've been beaten by Bowling Green and a 6A North Hardin program who has more athletes than they know what to do with, a school that has one of the BEST track programs in the entire state in which many of the kid(s) play football. How dare John Hardin (who has been to 7 of the last 8 State-Semifinal games in their respected classes) lose.

If your team starts having some success, then you're schedule is soft. On the flip side, if you actually play a loaded non district schedule and LOSE some...then you're overrated. See Adair County the last couple of years? I mean, who really in their right mind ever for once thought they were a state title contender or Top 5 team? I didn't and I was one of their biggest supporters. How about this? Let them live......let a place who was a bottom feeder for YEARS enjoy, just for once, beating up on the people who had/have beaten up on them for so long. People outside of their program (coaches, players, parents, community, etc in general) made a bigger deal of WHAT THEY WEREN'T than those closest to them did.

If your team is a true contender & heaven forbid you have a 'cup cake' or two on your schedule, then your strength of schedule and it "preparing you for the playoffs" come into question.

....whole bunch of talking heads out there on these things, and sadly, their opinions are seen more than actual news writers. Old school media as we have known doesn't fuel negativity anymore in locker rooms, it's ignorant pop jaws on some of these sites (sites I still love).

I definitely don't want to argue or bicker back and forth. Just thought this statement was ironic.
