I dont care if Chuck Smith came back to Breathitt and hired Dale Mueller and Bob Redman as his coordinators... if your feeder system is basically non-existent you have no shot.
The key to Breathitt's success under Holcomb began and ended with his Feeder System and the fact that those kids were very well coached and prepared using Holcomb's system. By the time they reached High School they already knew the fundamentals, the playbook, and had timing on Offense.
All Holcomb had to do was get them stronger in the weight room, work harder with his QB, and further develop additional skills. By the time they were Seniors they were battle tested and played with a swagger.
Coach Moore is just trying to teach his kids fundamentals at this point when they are Juniors and Sophomores. No timing as well. To compound it kids see them losing and choose not to play football causing numbers to go down.
There is a reason Belfry rules EKY 3A with an iron fist right now... it's all about that Middle School team!
If Breathitt wants to return to relevance and Bobcat boosters are upset then the key is to first rebuild your feeder system. Every time you fire a Head Coach it is like starting over the process from Grade 6 up. Before cutting ties with Moore and guaranteeing you stay bad for another 2 years the first thing to do is see what he can do with better talent coming up that already understands fundamentals and the playbook.

The kids that are juniors and seniors this year played in feeder programs. So that would not be a legit excuse for a couple years true the freshmen and younger players will lack the experience of feeder programs but that was a non issue with the last three teams that Moore has lead to losing records. Holcomb's last year we were 12-0 going into belfry the very next year we have a losing record in awful district and worse and even worse the next two years. If we are still bad
in 2-3 years then you blame the feeder issue but not now

Also, no one who has seen the Bobcats play lately would say they are fundamentaly sound in any facet of the game. I do not know what needs to happen, but something needs to change.

I agree Beder and Moore are both good Coaches. I Coached Beder at Leslie County and have known Moore for sometime. Both work hard and both care about your kids. I don't care who is the Coach if you don't have the jimmys and joes you are in for a long season. The talent will come back, will it ever be like it was when Mike was there. I don't know. I know you have two fine men running your program better get behind them and support them for as long as the want to Coach there.:ChairHit:

IMO player development is the issue Jimmy and Joe's need to be taught how to play the right way . Our boys are not improving year to year like players at other good programs
