Raceland vs Greenup County 9/11

Ok this team speed team thing is a joke it's the same dang backfield it's the same dang line other than the center who was the slowest lineman last year and replaced by the fastest lineman also Isaac Wallace lost over 50 pounds you don't think he's faster , next we lost Dixon good speed replaced by Cameron Webb who is faster than Dixon proven during track , lost josh young at corner replaced by josh Clark agin Clark is just as fast or faster Raceland lost Connor great speed replaced by Austin Howard who is the fastest kid on the team , where is this lack of team speed coming from? Some idiot who has no idea what they are talking about said Raceland was slow and the the rest of his puppets join in.

Raceland has won three consecutive regional championships in track and field and those teams have been composed of many of the current players on the Rams football roster.

Granted there are differences between running on a track and a football field but I wouldn't necessarily call this team slow either. I think most of the talk about the team speed is being based upon how they looked against a very fast Ashland team that will make most teams in this area look slow in comparison.

I dont care who wins...cant wait till Russell spanks the ams.

Looks like Rams are working on some changes up front. Lots of big strong boys. Hope they get things figured out.

dont know em. But a lot out in argillite and in back of county. Pass em often. Its not far fetched folks. Its right in the last few years if your kid was in greenup and any good raceland got their hands on em

You've got nobody as fast in pads as those 3. Messer drew attention that opened up
Lanes for those RBs and left other receivers open. Young gave you threat running the ball from the QB spot to take it the distance at any time.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, they'll be fast enough to get the W Friday night.

Raceland - 34

Greenup County - 21

Maybe. Maybe not.

I think it will be a really close game. Very intense.

Greenup seems to have improved tremendously. I look for this to be a closer game than last year, I'm gonna take the Rams.

Alot of people, imo, are righting this group if Rams off. But, imo, its not exactly illogical. To me, we havent looked "slow". We have looked lethargic at times. But, the last two regional title Rams have left me smh wondering what it takes to light a fire under them at certain times in their seasons. Tbh though, that could be a good thing after all the preseason hype. The kids seemed to buy into it in week 1. Week 2, we were much slower than Ashland's backfield and LB corps. But if you take O'Bryan and Baker off of that team, Raceland wins by a score or two, those two reaked havock all night. Imo, outside of JC, everyone in the area is goina look slow against them.

The drop in our rankings and the talk of us not being very good are not unmeritted. But, we have made some changes and things looked much better in the second half against EC. Hopefully that transposes itself from here on out. Greenup will play pretty good defense, so we will need to stay balanced and not become one demensional. This is a good test to see if last week was simply competition related or if things have really started to gel. I think, its the ladder.

It's not the team. They will be just fine. It's the fans.

My Rams are not the team I thought they would be but they are still better then Greenup.

Really?

30 some years ago we didn't score an offensive touchdown on 1 team, but won the football game by a score of 6-2.

The following year with both teams having the same core players, we scored 29 points in the 1st half alone against them at their place!

A year makes a lot of difference.

Yes a year can make a difference one game can make a difference , I agree with what he's saying greeup was dominated on offense didn't even threaten to score so why do you think they will so much better

I watched GC live against Lewis County and online against Russell. I watched Raceland online against West Carter. A year made a bigger difference to GC for strength and conditioning increases than it did for Raceland. GC's skill group will outshine Raceland in this matchup.

More proof why it was smart to leave NE KY.

I know I picked Greenup.....But I'm really for Raceland. :truestory:

Greenup is over hyped they played Russell to the wire last year and look what happened. Raceland wins this game by 3 touchdowns.

At least you've still got a clue. The rest of us that say something he disagrees with apparently don't.

Everyone is WAY too uptight. This site is for discussion, everyone has opinions, but god forbid they be different from anyone elses. Idc what ur opinion is, as long as u have FACTS, stats, and or atleast your reasons as to what give you your verdict. But hey, atleast people care enough about these teams to argue about them!!!

east carter is not a team to be used as a measuring stick even with a postponed/delayed game. east carter is rebuilding while the rams are on a mission. rams play a fairly tough schedule and the greenup county game will tell a lot about the rams i look for greenup to win this match up this year.

Travel the 50 miles from Louisa up here Friday night and get a Birdseye view of it, you're gonna see something different.

I think this week has the potential to be a make or break game for the season. If the Rams lose this Friday I am afraid that it will have negative effects on the confidence of the team for the remainder of the season that they may not be able to recover from. Raceland really needs to win this game by at least a couple of scores to build some positive momentum going into a very tough second half of the season.
