That is a very good JC defense they hung 28 points on. I am not sure Belfry would put 28 on the Eagles.
I also don't think Belfry would give us 42 though.
a very good defense gave up 28 points? Does anybody know how many yards Catholic had?

Thankful to have had the chance to make the short trek to Catholic for this one. As for the defense giving up 28 points, that stat is somewhat misleading. LC scored one TD on defense and then a second on numerous subs when the score was 42-14 (from my vantage point, new defensive front, LBs, and a couple DBs). Take nothing away from Catholic though, they were very quick and had big play potential every snap. Early on, the pressure was getting to Legend as he was rushing some throws and held on a few seconds too long on others. LC will be a tough out in 3A.
As for stats, Catholic had 192 total yards per Lexington Herald. 89 rushing (J. Jones with 24 on 12 I believe) and 105 through the air. Best of luck to LC the rest of the season. For Central, solid road win.

Nice game last night by JC. Got to watch 2 good teams play their hearts out!! Both of these teams will be a lot better at the end of the year. JC was very weak last night covering punts and at least 2 times on their kick offs!!! Plus to many personal fouls!

Congrads. You all had a good plan and run the ball good. Almost 500 yards on the ground is not easy to do again LC. LC's offence could not do anything all night and prolly the fewest passing yards in a game by LC in years. Shocking becase LC had all there O back this season. Have no idea who 19 was but the hit he put on Lankford should be criminal. Hope he is o.k. but his helmet went 20 yards one way and ear pads 12 another way. JC needs to learn to finish because they had a chance to get a running clock but quit after fumbling at the 7. To little to late of a comeback by LC but they did not quit. Game will help against Belfry. Enjoy this one.

Statement win? Maybe. Maybe not, but is a big win in for the program and it has to let others know, that they too are for real.
Congrats.
