2015 Class A Pre-Season Top 10
I'll bet mysonis55 is about 5'-5" tall, weighs about 145 soaking wet, wears a Mayfield shirt, and a Cardinal hat on backwards everyday. Adopts Louisville as his favorite college team because they have the same mascot, so he can recycle the same fan gear. Goes to work, gets paid, and only exerts about 50% of what he's actually capable of because he spends all of his most valuable time on BGR throwing in his 2 cents about Mayfield football into EVERY SINGLE THREAD on this forum. I'll bet the closest you get to leaving the city of Mayfield is all based on how far east you can get on the Pikeville threads on this message board. How close am I?

I feel like I will get the BGR post of the year with this one and the most likes on one single post in the history of the site.
That was well thought out and brilliant. I bet you spent all week attending writing classes just to write that.

Paintsville season ends the same way it did last year with a loss to Raceland , they have some good players but no dept hard to play 4 quarters against a team playing 20 kids and your playing 13/14 to much to overcome

Mysonis55 will miss 1A unless he adopted a 1A team.Call me 55 and I will send you adoptions paper form. You will haveto travel long distances to pick a 1A school. I have met you twice you looked taller than 5'5" Confusednicker:
I really expect the smith boys to help hazard out quite a bit. I hope so anyways. But I really hope to see some games this season because I only saw 1 in person last year.

It COULD happen. Will it? I dont think its likely. Pikeville has to get past Hazard and Williamsburg. Paintsville has to over come both Fairview and Raceland. All of them lost major factors on both sides of the ball. Of the 5 teams listed, imo Raceland returns the most and Williamsburg probably lost the most. Raceland is more than likely the deepest as someone else mentioned, we will likely have 20 or more see significant varsity minutes without much drop off in tallent or ability. Raceland's returning RBs minus around 200 yds from Messer and Young combined for around 1500 yards rushing in their 4 games against Paintsville (2) and Fairview (2). Young and Messer's abilities and leadership will be hard to replace, but with returnig all but one of their OL and the entire front 7 defensively, its goina be hard for the other two to beat them, unless its through the air. Which in that regaurd I give the knod to Fairview. Raceland was and should still be the more defensively sound of the teams in their district. Roy and Washington from Fairview are very dangerous though and Kash Daniels is a man among boys no matter who he sets foot on the field with. They need to get him some help on defense though. He wore down in both ball games against the Rams, just had to do too much on his own.

I really expected Pikeville to make it to Raceland last year but they didn't and it sure disappointed me. But as of right now I would have Raceland, Paintsville, ahead of Pikeville and Hazard right now with Williamsburg and Fairview trailing.
Yeah 64, I'm not too much taller than that though. Im not gonna adopt any teams. I will pull for Rville, Beechwood and Frankfort though. In that order as well. I will also pull for Crittendon but I don't know if they are ready yet.

This is just a hint don't forget about Campbellville New team in the west....I see talent on that team.....I mean talent. :truestory:
Should be an interesting year. Excited to see it all play out..
^ Campbellsville has an excellent team returning. Could be a dark horse.. Myson is a Hazard fan too he just doesn't admit it often.

Other information I've found out that Hazard has about 45 kids out for spring.
Yeah, that's another Wildcat missed in his analogy. I used to visit that area a lot. Mostly Stanton. My mother in law did live there. A lot of my wife's extended family lives there. I also have to visit EKU pretty regularly. I keep waiting for the Bulldogs to reassert themselves.
^ Got a very good freshmen class coming in. Shouldn't be too long.
Sounds good.
I read it is confirmed that Brayden Combs from Beechwood has told the coaching staff he isn't playing this year. Now waiting to see if Stringer is going to play.
Even if they lose both, they still have plenty.
mysonis55 Wrote:Even if they lose both, they still have plenty.

I agree. While losing Combs, and possibly Stringer would put them in position to be a bit less of a favorite, I still see them being capable of reloading. Numbers are hard to compete with, more capable bodies per square yard lol.
No matter what beechwood is still the favorite. But those kids will be missed.

Writing is not my forte. However, I do believe I did a fabulous job. You're welcome.
As long as it made you feel better, good deal.
anotherfootballnut Wrote:Williamsburg had a nice run represented the east well but it's over for them , the team out of the east will be Raceland the next couple of years and the Ramblers will bring a state title back to the gravel pit

no they wont.
mysonis55 Wrote:Man handle??? Explain that please!!! I remember the score at the half was 14-10 Mayfield. I remember the burg was down 21-13 in 4th and had to come from behind. Where exactly was the man handling. We did exactly what we did the previous week. We bent until they got by the goal and then limited their points. We took advantage of their mistakes and all. We still had a total passing package with Tyler running wildcat that we didn't even have to use and we won. I don't see this man handling thing. Is it an eastern thing to control the yardage and time of possesession that means a man handling? If it is, keep it out east. We prefer the winning thing instead of man handling.

didnt have to use it? you are full of it.they were in panick mode and used all they had and barely survived.you're a sad little troll.
mysonis55 Wrote:I will give you a clear cut example of how this works 64. In the 70's there were 2 great powers in NFL football. They were the beloved Dallas Cowboys and the hated Steelers. They met in 3 Super Bowls. The boys would have edged them in the number of Super Bowls won if, a receiver simply catches a wide open touchdown catch that hit him right in the numbers. He didn't and my boys lost. Ever since then I have heard how the Steelers owned that decade. This even though, short of that Super Bowl the Cowboys were the more successful team. No one remembers how close they came in those Super Bowl losses to the Steelers. They only remember that the Steelers won. That is truly how history works.

You forgot about Miami Dolphins winning super bowls in 72 and 73 while going undefeated in 1972.

I dont always like your posts, but when I do they are about delusional Mayfield fans.
Watch the film Doug. I assure you that you will not see Tyler throw a pass. I can also assure you that we had that wrinkle in. It's just like that play for the overtime with the pass to Bright. It really doesn't matter, I'm just saying.

I watched the game live.he didnt throw it because it would have been intercepted.you dont matter.just sayin'
pjdoug Wrote:no they wont.

Yes they will
Doug, that is the wrong answer. Watch your film. The burg flowed to the ball, which is also called over pursuing. Especially when either Tyler or Bright got the ball. We knew that coming in. Look back at 2012 vs Fairview. They did the same thing and we had Dillon Reed do what I am referring to and it was a wide open grand slam of a homerun.
By the way, I listened to the coaches interview before the game and he said that was what they do.
