I hate that the series between Rockcastle and Whitley got canceled out too. They played every year that my boys were going through. Good series and was competitive.

You wont find a player more taleted then Harris. His toughness is the biggest question. Can he stay healthy? I Don't care for southern, but I wish him well. When a kid from this area makes to place like bama you got to pull for him. but enough about them and back to the rockets. Should be a fun year!

Rock will be a great football team this season. Had some great backs last year and will be a year older this season. I see them finishing second and maybe even first. I see them beating Russell County and Clay which I wish Justin the best at Clay but it's not gonna happen this year. They will contend with Wayne and Knox. I don't know what Knox has but last season they were pretty good when I watched them and breathitt. Who is their cross district this year in the playoffs? Playoffs are all that matters anyways.

I'm not sure about favorite, but, I think Rock will be a contender. Depends on how the team develops. They started gelling this past season faster than I figured that they would. All along I figured it would be this year that that group of kids would start shining. This group came out through middle school as a pretty good group and were initially developed by a fine young coach by the last name of Bussell. He worked those kids up in middle school and got a lot of kids out to play ball. Rockcastle will be losing a few good players including Ansardi, but, it will be interesting to watch them this year. I give a lot of credit to Coach Bussell for getting things going on that lower level to the success they've had this past year. He doesn't coach now though because of dedication to his family life which I can respect and time constraints.
The team still lacks those big lineman that helped them to run the ball years ago though. Like I said, they will be interesting to watch.

From the outside looking in it just seems like these kids aren't very strong anymore. Its one thing when you have strong backs and skill kids, but the linemen dont look like linemen. Do all the coaches work with kids or is it just one or two coaches. One thing I have seen from solid programs is that ALL THE COACHES have to buy into the winter and spring in the weight room and that translates to the fall. I remember when Rockcastle was just physically imposing and that seems to be the difference.

So me saying Garrad has no depth and is a small school is going to make their players mad. hahahaha

I can just see it now in the locker room before the game the garrard players getting mad because some guy said we didnt have any depth and coaches preaching about how some guy said we are a small school. If it takes that to get Garrard fired up then we will for sure beat them.

I like your optimism, and will be cheering for Rock all but one week. Just disagree with your Wayne prediction. Cardinals return +7 on each side of the ball and it's at Jewell Field.

I could see a war for the top spot of this district. Those out of district games could be huge for points at the end of the season.

Garrard will be loaded they return there two leading rushers foley and loagan along with almost every skilled position. Knox will be Knox and have owned us for the last couple of years. Wayne returns everyone from the team that beat us last year. Still optimistic on the Danville game. not sure if rock has ever beating Danville. I also believe Somerset will be a physical game. even tho we had a ok season last year, we didn't beat no one. Only beat one team with a winning record. Still have a lot to prove.

Didn't say it was bad season, it was all right. No need to be satisfied with only beating cupcake teams. Just no need to stick out your chest because you beat Clay County, Russell, County South Laurel, Perry Central, West Jessamine. those are give me games.
