How are things going under Coach so far? Are they hitting the weights hard and running? Coach will implement the Va Tech workouts on them and try and get that Hokie mentality instilled in them.

The community has always supported the football program. It has nothing to do with the community. It is all about leadership and the decisions people have made with that program. Please quit making basketball and community an excuse for the success of the program. Give this guy a chance to have a winning program not in one year but at least 4-6yrs!:champ:

I know for a fact Coach always supports all athletic programs. when he was at Kelly he had baseball players basketball players wrestlers. He even allowed players to miss practice once to go compete in a cross country meet.

It would get kind of frustrating to put the same guys on there keisters in practice everyday and then watch them play on friday nights and you set on the sidelines wouldnt it? Ill give you that searcy was no prize, but the folks up there was about to drive Potter nuts and thats why he retired. And Hillard left because he was tired of having to run every play he called by Napier before he called it. That was the most laughable id ever heard of. Here you had a coach was a 3 time state champ having to get permission from a coach that by my understanding played half of his senior year in football and that was it to call a play.
If Hillard left for that reason then that has nothing to do with basketball or the community that has to do with a head coach he didn't get along with. From what I have heard the only playing time you got at Pikeville was on field goal units and extra points.

And Im not going into what playing time I got at Pikeville but if special teams was all the playing time I got (Which it definatley wasnt) that was still more than what I got at valley. So, I hate to tell you but youve been badly misinformed

I didnt think it would take long for folks to start bad-mouthing me up there. I still have family that goes to school up there and my brother went up there until I saw the smae thing happeneing to him as it did me which is why hes at Pikeville now and hes done great up here. I dont dislike SV and Im not bitter or anything at all. I just wish the folks up there would open there eyes because they know in their hear of hearts Im telling the truth.
