Reality is that Williamsburg definitely has the best odds to come out of the east. It will end up being two weeks of stressful football to get there, but if you put their top 3 offensive threats up against the remaining teams in the east, I'm not sure anyone left has the talent to match them. Raceland's secondary can shut down anyone's passing game in 1A and overall could have the best defense left, but I wonder if any of them have enough to stop a a descent running game. Raceland didn't have that bad of numbers, but the three teams they played with descent running backs all had well over 200+ yards on the ground, two of them over 280. Even though Hazard put up 36 on Pikeville, they still let Pikeville put up over 360 yards rushing against them. Hazard has gotten a whole lot better with their run defense, but they also haven't seen any great running backs or even a great O-line at that. Paintsville gave Shelby Valley one of their two losses, but Shelby Valley still put up 347 yards against them. It just seems like the teams left haven't done well stopping the run when the team their playing have a descent running game, and at this point that is all you'll see. That's why I think Williamsburg has the best odds over everyone else.
Hazard has seen some good backs this year, I know Williamsburg has some good physical backs but I just don't see them running the ball that much because they like to throw it.

Here are some highlights of Houston Smith Sr. DE for Hazard. He missed 4 games at the end of the season for an injury but is back now and had a good showing against Campbellsville. I look for him to do some damage against Williamsburg.

They can't run because there is more holes in the jackets o line than in a window screen.

Baseball in Williamsburg's offense the quarterback will always put up the numbers. You argue that 90% of their offense is gone but that is flawed. The offense itself is a big part of the numbers. I thought that the Williamsburg people undersold Sizemore last year. He was a big loss. But Skyler has replaced him. He has the arm strength, accuracy and ability to make plays with his feet. When I watch Williamsburg's offense I watch to see if the quarterback can make certain reads and throws. Skyler has done that all year. We have had a couple of years were our quarterbacks have put up big numbers but that was only a product of the offense. With Sizemore and Skyler that was not the case. They both hide some flaws in the offense with their playmaking ability. Losing Skyler as a receiver was a huge loss but Massey more than offset that. I would love to have had Sizemore one more year because that would have allowed Williamsburg to keep Skyler as a receiver. Sizemore with Massey in the backfield would have been a terror.

I mostly just read what you all post, but pjdoug is unbearable. Easily, one of the worst on here. He is what gives Williamsburg fans a bad name. The rest of you Williamsburg fans are entertaining and insightful, but pjdoug has major issues.

if I'm unbearable stop reading what I post and quit whining. I'm a Whitley County fan :ChairHit::biggrin:

Only a jackets fan for now cause his Whitley Co can't do anything. Kinda like how 64 has 97 teams. They gotta have at least 1 that wins.

64, just cause the jackets will be on the downside tomorrow, you are not excluded from texting me updates.

Dalton Frasure of Prestonsburg had 169 yards rushing and 4 TD's against Hazard on 10-3-14.
