If so, you're gonna LOVE playing Cupcake Central in the district next year. We get to add a little more Betty Crocker to our schedule!
Pfffff. East carter would roll Johnson central. They will more than likely get 1st or 2nd in district next year. I also expect a hard fought game between east and one of the northern ky teams instead of getting blown out every year like Johnson central. BTW I think greenup wins in a 4 OT thriller 42-36

I can only hope you and your other accounts on here are joking. If you actually believe that, you need to stop eating those mushrooms you find around Carter Caves for a while. Our 8th grade team vs. East Carter's varsity might be a fair fight.

The only mushrooms I'm eating are these delicious statewide famous fried mushrooms from East Carters award winning concession stand.[Image: http://rs59.pbsrc.com/albums/g302/gregva...7.jpg~c200]

JJ Jude will be disappointed in his Eagles when the Musketeers explosive defense blankets a overrated Cupcake Central offense.

Very fun to watch

I believe the team you are referring to is the 2006 team that finished 13-1, but really the team that started it all had to have been the 2004 team with the likes of Blume, Musick, Mccoy, etc...This was Matney's first year as head coach at Johnson Central and the team finished 7-3. They did not make the playoffs that year but a 3 loss season compared to a 9 loss season the year before is a huge turn around. Since the 2004 season, the worst year Central has had was in 2009 with 5 losses, 4 coming in the first four games of the season against Boyle; Bell; Horn Lake, MS; and a very good Sheldon Clark team. The final loss coming to Highlands in the third round of the playoffs.
I would have to agree that many of those teams were much more fun to watch and I think there are many different reasons for that. The class alignment was different, schools weren't hesitant about scheduling JC and also, there was a bigger sense of excitement around the football team during those years. It was a rebirth of a team that had struggled for so long. In my honest opinion, I believe JC has became complacent with where they are now. They are a dominant MOUNTAIN football team and are happy with that, but they will not gain the respect as a KY powerhouse until they get over their fear of failure. Start scheduling the tough games; the Lexington teams, the Louisville teams, and if they insist on playing out of state teams, there are plenty in Tennessee and Ohio that would give them a great test. An 8-2 or even 7-3 record with a TOUGH schedule looks just as good as 10-0 if the undefeated season was achieved by playing no name schools that are nothing more than schedule fillers. Scheduling local is tough for good teams and travel is necessary but JC has traveled long distances before.

I'll throw a wager out for both of you guys. If Johnson Central and Cov. Cath meet up I'll take Cov. Cath. Winner picks the losers avatar for a year.

You are right AIR FORCE ONE don't know the 04 team just remember all the crap that was said when the Dials kid left LC for JC and got to see them play some games and that was football at its best. they played as a well oiled team

An avatar is just a logo but a person's identity is personal. I will take Johnson Central and you get Cov Cath. Loser has to post their picture and real name and have it verified by at least two other members. This way the loser can never post and hide behind the unknown of a keyboard. You in or out?

I agree. I liked the Grimm kids senior season team as well. His story was a special one. What ever happened with him?
