Not saying Pikeville is better. We have a good team with the potential to be outstanding in our class. But I guarantee you if you want to talk "flat out outrunning" Cody Estep and Daric Pugh could hold their own. But we are talking football, not track. Cody is fast..about as fast as Taylor for us..both are great kids...Im wording it correct You can't beat us, you can't out block out run we have better athletes all around, yeah you got a couple that can run,with us...But dude come on listen to yourself who has pikeville played to say they can play with BELFRY, name one team we have played that pikeville could beat...None...call me arrogant all you want But You Know my big JackAss is right pal..

Yep. Like I said earlier in a post. The D lines names were called on the radio all night long. Horton, Whitt and Bentley are a force that most offenses will not be able to over come. They plug up the line and force runners to the outside and then Belfry shows their speed as the pursuit catches up to the play. If I am not mistaken the starting D has allowed only 3 scores and one of those drives started on the Belfry 2 yd line.

The true starting D has allowed two TDs. 0 against Henry Clay...their score was a kickoff return...one against Harlan County where the Bears returned an INT to the Belfry 2 and they scored in two plays. One score in the SW game on a beautifully blocked run play where Doan broke free for a nice 77 yd TD run.

I really like Estep and Pugh, but the harsh reality is that if you objectively look at the starters team by team, these two kids would be the only two Panthers that would start for BHS. Estep could play WR and DB and Belfry would find a spot for a player as good as Pugh. Not trying to be elitist or arrogant and props to those two really good players.

I was referring to 1991's wording. The way he (and SOME others, not all) talk, Belfry could beat Trinity every year and twice on Sundays. I'm simply saying its cool to be confident, and Belfry has earned the right to be confident, but he sounds like an arrogant ass at times. All fan bases have them, ours too. At least you acknowledge Pugh and Estep, he would say they'd never see the field at Belfry. But there are others who, if not starters, would be contributors. Y'all got one of them. Lol. No I don't think we can beat Trinity..but we can beat Pikeville...Shouldn't even be on our schedule IMO..Call me all ya want, But one thing you can call me is right..yes Estepp would be an excellent player on our Roster at wide out or/and DB..I pray for an injury free game also...But I'm just saying what you are thinking and know...And yes you will see how much better Scott has gotten since he came to Belfry..
