Be a bit more competitive than many think but Belfry will win big in the end and continue their dominance over Pikeville.

Just don't see Belfry letting up in this one. It's became Kind of a one sided rivalry game over the last few years. Good energy but the competition just hasn't been there. Belfry wins 42-14.

All I will say for now is this.

If Belfry plays like they did tonight taking points off the board and continually putting themselves in a field position hole then the Bucs better watch out.

They are about to get Pikeville's best shot.

If Belfry plays mistake free football this one lasts 3 quarters. If Belfry plays ugly this is a very good Pikeville team who may surprise people if the door is left open come the 4th Quarter.

I truely hope they are. Should make for a heck of a game. Hopefully Belfry comes out on the better sides of things if by chance we make it that far.

Dear Pikeville, I don't like you and you don't like me. But, the fact is --- the road to our respective state championships run through different areas. What I'm trying to say is, let's swallow a little pride. Let me put first things first, I genuinely enjoy kicking your teeth down your throat metaphorically, arguing with Jetpilot about ACT scores, and heck even trading football dominance for you guys mostly besting us at other sports. So, let's give each other our best shot and make each other better. We will show you a tough defense and an offensive and defensive line like you will never see again this year. You show us a play-making wideout, and a dominant feature back. Do I expect us to win? Of course. But let's make improvements and I will come watch you guys in BG.

In all seriousness, I think we win in this game but I hope it can give us some experience that will help us in our quest to Bowling Green, and vice versa. I'm over this petty "rivalry" crap. I wanna win, but I want to improve and bring some rings back to Pike County.

That's something you won't see for a long time, Pikeville is good for their current class..but just are not at the same level on the football field. Yes they will make some big plays, I mean no disrespect to the Panthers, but let's be real, what would their record be if they played the 3 teams we have played. This is nothing more than a game to give Pikeville a picture of what they need to fix for a state Championship run..as for us it a rest for our starters after a hard schedule to start the year and to give our younger players some Friday night time..Just my Opinion again I have been wrong many times before.
