Now, we have awakened someone. It was getting quiet on here now that 64 was traded in the first round this year. It seems wierd not being able to get the burg faithful riled up on here.

While the gap may close some, I think the east really needs to explore defense. They seem to be way out of touch the last 2 years. Maybe it will take the raising of the Bulldogs to get any d back in the east.

I think defensively the east has lacked the speed needed to truly compete, that and depth. The east has been dominated by the smaller schools since the new alignment was installed. All of the top teams are far from "bubble" teams. Outside of Hazard maybe. Beechwood and Mayfield(its been one or the other in the finals since we went up to 6 classes in the state are perinial powers and also have more numbers. Both give them an advantage when it comes to fielding a bigger andbetfer team. I do think in recent years though, the auality of players have gotten better in the east. Not just in the starting rolls, but the reserves as well. In your stronger programs, there are more and more teams fielding 50-70 kids on the roster year in and year out. Raceland has had 60 kids out the last several years. Not bad for a single A club. Last year, they and Fairview eac had around 70. Numbers arent higher form a school standpoint, but I think more and more kids are playing football again.

Once the mountain folk put the rest of their teeth in and start wearing pants with out built in shoulder straps then put some shoes on, our aerodynamics(one them flat lander words) get all thrown about and we caint make up for it.

Or if you get too overbalanced that way, you can part your hair heavier on one side to correct it. And if you don't have hair, you can tip your hat about 2 deg. that will work too.
