Taylor started at left tackle. He is only starter outside Sizemore we will lose.

Sizemore takes with him, over 3500 yards of total offense and 43 tds. That almost half of Williamsburgs rushing success and 98% of their passing attack. Skykar Griffith or Dalton brother(i think) are the two front runners at QB from what I understand. Either way, Williamsburg will compete with Hazard for the region. Its way too soon for me to give a semi's prediction. The region, both east and west, shouldbe the same old song. Dont know if the verses will change or not. Truth of the matter is, all of the east contenders are going to be filling important gaps. Who fills those gaps? It all remains to be seen.

The QB job is Skylar's. Little Sizemore won't start as a freshman. Truth is the only other possible person that could start is Skylar's little brother, Andrew. The job would be his if he hadn't sat out this year.

Skylar last played QB in middle school.

I would think the coach will decide who the qb will be. Little sizemore name is Cameron sizemore. Best qb will start Skylar,Sizemore and or maybe Andrew if he's plays.now that is a nice problem to have :Cheerlead

Don't get me wrong I would love for Skylar to stay at receiver and break all the school receiving records. I just don't believed there is a better option at QB. Skylar was the best middle school QB I have ever seen, but high school is a whole different ball game. I could be wrong though. Like you said, coach will make that choice.

Hunter Sulfridge was also a senior. He started at defensive back the last half of the season. He will be sorely missed. Sizemore was also the punter. He did a very good job kicking the ball. If you switch Skyler to quarterback you have questions at quarterback and receiver. You will also miss Sulfridge and Dalton punting. Other than that Williamsburg just gets a year older at every position. Tayler was adequate but very replaceable on the O line. Cameron Sizemore and Darrell White are incoming freshmen who will be ready to contribute from the get go. If Andrew Griffith plays he will fill in nicely for his brother at the receiver spot. Andrew is much bigger and as fast as Skyler. Skyler will not be better than Dalton but he will add some things. He does not have the arm strength but is a great open field runner. I would hope Williamsburg will add some packages to take advantage of Skyler's running ability. Sizemore ran the ball well but he was a different type runner. He will be sorely missed in the red zone. He was like having a full back when you needed to get tough yards. Sulfridge was an unsung hero. The defense got much better when he started playing. Somebody needs to grow up a bunch to replace him. Williamsburg has some questions but they are in a very good position to fill in spots.

IMO.. Skyler is already better then Dalton.. Skyler was needed at receiver so that’s the reason he played that postion. Dalton has the stronger arm but that is the only thing he has on Skyler.. Teams are going to have to put more people in the box to be able to equal out Skyler's running ability. This will lead to more man coverage against a really good receiving core.. If Andrew comes back then we are a better team than we were last year.. Everyone is older and they know what they want. As far as the freshman.. I actually talked to one of the high school coaches and the player they think will get the most PT is the Poore kid..

Why did Andrew sit out this year? Was it injury-based?

Andrew had a knee injury that was not serious but it was his second knee issue in his young career...I think he had some folks in his ear about choosing between football and basketball, so he picked basketball...From what I am hearing he is going to play football next year...If that happens next years team just got better...JMO

I would not say Skylar is better, but he does bring different skills to the table...After next season we can have that discussion on Skylar...I think Hunter Browning is going to be a kid that will see some playing time next year on Defense..

WOW....You have to be kidding me. You do realize that putting him there now you lose your best reciever. (He was needed at reciever..but you had a great recieving core?) He is not and will not be a better QB than Sizemore. Sizemore was a great QB..you guys do not need to throw him under the bus the way you are.
12-16-2013, 02:46 PM
Never said he was a bad QB.. I just think with Skyler back there it opens up things.. You still have Corey which is just as good as Skyler, Chase a great Inside receiver and MD a reliable receiver.. And like a said before if Andrew is playing that fills up Skyler’s receiving position.. To me that is a better first group then we had last year..

Corey was our best reciever.. can not wait to see what he does next year.. Best reciever to come out of Williamsburg..

Sizemore was a good quarterback for the Jackets, and I don't think anyone is throwing him under the bus..The younger Sizemore will, if he stays, not be a QB in HS, at least not for a couple of years, there is too much development needed…The offense will be more explosive with Skyler at QB, he brings a different dynamic to the field. Shelton is the best receiver although Skyler is tremendous in his own right…If Andrew Griffith plays you are putting a D1 Body at receiver, and though he may not have all of his brother's skill set, he has the potential for greatness.. Williamsburg is going to be, barring injury (which is always a concern at a class a school), very competitive in the east. The defense will only get better, watch and see..Helton is simply put, a stud…if you game plan Williamsburg you have to account for him. Wilson, with a year in the weight room will improve drastically, and the heart of the defense is Jefferson Patrick. Lest we forget, Skyler moving to QB will let Chase Lowrie shine more as a receiver as well.

I agree with you Paul Crewe. Skylar and shelton is the best 2 reciever in this area and to break that combination up now makes know sense to me.I think Cameron Sizemore would be the best choice at qb.He will be a freshman next year he has the size and the arm and if Andrew Giffith plays next year williamsburg recieving core just got even better.Andrew play as a freshman in 2012 caught 13 pass receptions for 262yd in only 8 or 9 games. And yes Dalton Sizemore was a great Qb or williamsburg wouldn't have make it to Bowling green :welcome: to monday morning Quarterback Club

Dude do you have any ideal what a qb goes through in a game you are asking him to play qb an take a chance on getting hurt and play defense also punt return, kick off return and everything else get real.:Sad04:

Can't say that Skylar is already better. If he was then he would have started this year. He does have a different skill set that should give defenses fits. I know I live in the past talking about his middle school team, but people tend to think of his as only a wildcat option QB. He ran the same basic offense in middle school that the high school runs. He was a throw first QB and run 2nd. He will be a much better passer than people are giving him credit for. His arm isn't as strong, but he throws a much prettier and easier to catch deep ball than Dalton. Dalton will go down as one of the top 5 QB in the last 20 years at Williamsburg and he led us to our first state championship game, so I'm not trying to downgrade what he accomplished, just looking forward to the future.
As far as which freshman will have the most impact next year, I agree that Poore has the best chance, not only because of talent but mostly due to him being the more mature mentally and ready to listen to coach and do what is asked of him. The other two are more physically gifted, but have a lot of growing up to do before they will be ready to contribute.
