Williamsburg 2014
E's Army Wrote:9-1 last year and state final previous year is not the bottom.

I think you forgot the implosion from within. After that happens, odds are you don't climb back from a hole that fast.
I would say Fairview lost some players to graduation and to other schools as well.

Thank you 55. Factor in that, along with a new Hc and his philosophy, and new assistants. All of this, and the team has got to come together in a relatively short period of time. This is the point I'm making.
It would make a great underdog story though. That is if they do it the legal way.

The winner of this game will be in Bowling Green. Williamsburg with the addition of the Massey kid from Harlan along with the 6 Corbin kids would have to be the favorite.
Hazard has the coaching and tradition. Don't forget that.
Hazard played Williamsburg tough last year and did run the ball well but Williamsburg capsulized on hazards turnovers just like a good team should.
They will have that score on the scoreboard at every practice. They will be ready come November.
Something is wrong to much agreement any one know what is going on, 64 if someone don't pick a fight with you soon I am. Go Burg Whitley and Corbin. Then any team in the mountains that can beat any team in the rest of the state.
I think all 3 school in the Whitley County area shall do good. I thought Whitley was going to be pretty good last year but I was wrong..
Pretty bad, I can't even coax him out. I miss the days when 64 was a true burg fan. You are right it is way to quiet. I expect a little resistance at least.

Been to bingo in Corbin. Confusednicker:

no one ever mentions the big kid coming up you will not keep him out of the lineup. his name is Darrel Wyatt or maybe White, He played in all those all star games last year. He looks to be about 6foot 3 weighs about 215. The all star coaches were very impressed with him Receiver. Williamsburg also has Jefferson Patrick's twin Brently, he will be very hard to keep out of the lineup For the past 3 years he just wanted to Kick this year he wan't todo both in middle school he was a brute.
Halls Win South Laurel Win Wayne County Win Pike County Win
Harrison County Win Newport Win Pineville Win Berea Win CampLesville W
Lynn Camp

Williamsburg will run the table With few if any points scored on them. THEY WILL WIN IT ALL. I don't see any team that has our talent level. Debth. experience, skill, and the size they have grown into. and no I repeat We have no fat boys on our team. we have servale 300 but no fat I am being honest If you do beat us you better bring a picnic
lunch cause it gonna take all day. Good luck to all your teams (If you are in the mountains)

win
Who will fill in for Ethan Wilson? Heard he has an injury that will keep him out most/all of the season.

I am not sure I spoke to his father he indicated 1, 2, maybe 3 games; I have been to almost all workouts, He has not missed a workout and, he has put on some weight looks like about 2 inches in height AND from just watching increased his speed a bunch. I am real high on this team. with the addition of the new kid who is a hell of an athlete and the Wyatt kid along with Patrick the kicker this team looks 30% better than last years. I believe mountain class A football will be much more competitive than last year. KEEP COAL ALIVE
How much more competitive? Is it 21 points more competitive or 42 points more competitive?
If Mayfield gets past Frankfort and Beechwood I will say they will have their plate full with 1 of several good teams. Williamsburg, Hazard, Fairview, Raceland, 64's sleeper team.

Throw pikeville in there and the east looks like will be pretty strong this year. I think the title game will be alot better this year. I sometimes think not enough people are giving beechwood or frankfort enough credit, they are both stacked this year.
Don't forget you have hazard and have to go to hazard where I'm sure many strange things and calls have happened
Beechwood or Frankfort will be the deciding factor. The reason is, if they don't beat us, they still may bang us up so much that it causes us to struggle at BG. Just like in 2011.
Jackets will be in bowling green again this year.
mysonis55 Wrote:How much more competitive? Is it 21 points more competitive or 42 points more competitive?

I have no idea how much better in points. Mayfield may be as much as Williamsburg, or for that matter any of the class A schools could have improved as much and maybe even more. I can only pass on my opinion based on what I have observed at the Burg. Save the coal Industry.

If they beat Mayfield I would be surprised.
Anyone can be beaten at any time. I just think we have got to see better defense come out of the east this year. The last 2 years we have seen any defense after the semis.
Williamsburg was much better than they played in Bowling Green last year. A lot of Mayfield, a little stage fright and deer in the head lights syndrome. It would be very difficult for them to close the gap entirely but I would expect a much closer game if both teams get there this year. Mayfield was a run away train and Williamsburg was tied to the tracks. Mayfield will be heavy favorites again this year but it is a long time until December and there are 30 other teams who want to play on that stage.
One thing is for certain and that is UNCERTAINTY. Never have i found so much confidence in teams with so many auestions and holes to fill. Myself icluded. Whoever is rep for the east this year will be battle tested. Same goes for the west. Still think the top 3 in the west(MF, BW, Frank) are 2-5 scores better than the top 5 in the east (WB, Pike, Haz, Rams, Paint). Either way a 35 pt defecit is a td better than a 42 pt defecit lol. Looking foward to te most competitive single A season since the new 6A alignment.

I never make excuses, we got beaten by a damn good football
team having never played on a stage that big, requires either an exceptional football team or experienced good football team, We played without either. Jefferson playing hurt, playing without Skylor the big stage all put together wiped out any chance we might have, On the other hand Mayfield could have lost 2 outstanding players and kept right on ticking. That is what champions are supposed to do. I honestly believe we now have those missing parts we may not win it all but we will compete.
^^^i think that is what several teams in the east are beginning to do. Which is GREAT. Love to see small school football get more competitive.
