He is trying to be sly now. I would bet on a transfer soon. 64 has already transferred. That can only mean someone close to him is. That is how he adopted the burg to start with.

Hey if the rumors are true I think 64 is peddling toward Corbin, hearing Williamsburg's 8th grade qb Camron Sizemore may be a redhound. Didn't take Haddix long to make things happen, the Corbin-Whitley series will start in 2015, and looks like the transferring is about to go in our favor the way it once was.

Yeah, he will be there for 1 year. Then, he is transferring to Mayfield.

Maybe with his brother and sister graduating, he just doesn't have a ride to school in Wiliamsburg, and since he lives in Corbin's school district, he can catch the bus or ride with his friends if he does go to Corbin.

I would say the east should be represented by either Wburg, Pikeville, Hazard or Raceland. Pretty much in that order.

1) Mayfield
2) Frankfort
3) Beechwood
4) Pikeville
5) Wburg
6) Bellevue
7) Raceland
8) Holy Cross
9) Paintsville
10) Ky Country Day

It's a toss up in my mind. The burg has a lot back. They did not impress me though. They also lost a big time qb.

Never underestimate the recruiting capabilities of Corbin when they actually have a chance to be competitive.
Corbin will start getting players back now. Its like it always was. Whitley has plenty of talent and they will be fine. Wburg cant afford to lose kids though. Not that many to choose from to begin with. Whitleys key in all of this is to keep Haddix and that old money that will be coming back from taking the real stars away from the county. Luckily, I think the Lawson blood line has finally ended, so im not sure where they'll turn. A lot has changed in the past decade. Whitley has finally caught Corbin in basketball IMO, and they have been relatively even in baseball.
I guess we'll see how it turns out in football. Things like this and sneaky moves is what makes a rivalry great. Ill make sure to come back home every year just to see this one game if I don't make any of the others.

Corbin must have the edge in football now because 64 has already left.

No recruiting on this one GUT, Camron had no transportation from Corbin to Williamsburg after his brother and sister graduated and both parents working out of town. Williamsburg BOE which had several job openings that his mother qualified or over qualified for and had applied for, but they chose to go another direction, thus leaving him with no transportation. Good luck to coach Herron and the jackets they will still be the team to beat this year in the east.

Can anyone please compile a list of 64's teams and put them in the order that he likes them. We need to post that. Then, in about mid October we can refresh tjat order and compare it. We can do it again in November and maybe we can turn it into a contest to bet on how they will finish.

I may have to take in a few games myself.

64, people just keep moving in. What's that got to do with anything? It's just like any other community in the state. We also lose some. Last year we lost a couple really good backs up Graves Co. But, at least everyone knows who my team is.
05-31-2014, 07:35 PM
64 has a soft spot for all teams in the Mountains even Mccreary county and his buddy Cellking. He will always be welcome at the Burg.
05-31-2014, 07:40 PM
But he is so much fun to pick at.
05-31-2014, 10:06 PM
I've been picking at him 35 years. I understand your fun.

Corbin won district in basketball and were 2nd in region. Whitley has closed gap but not caught Corbin. Whitley is sleeping Giant in both sports. But never seem to get over the hump.

I think Whitley has closed the gap in boys basketball. It was evident in talent on the floor this year, and hopefully whitley continues to get better.
As for the girls side, I don't think it could be any more even, or even favoring Whitley for a long time.
As for baseball, since the mid 00's, Corbin has had the upper hand, but Whitley has been right there and picked up some wins.
Personally I wish Knox Central would vote to switch us district

06-01-2014, 06:34 PM
Gut it could be worse. You could have 110 boys in your school and a superintendent who does not care about sports.
06-01-2014, 08:20 PM
Speaking of not caring, we have at least 4 school systems in this area that have no football program at all. Fulton City is smaller than all of them.

It's kinda boring on here since 64 traded teams. He kept the burg in everyone's minds for the past 2 yrs.
