Was he a receiver :Cheerlead

Boston Bryant from Whitley is at Wofford College on a full ride and the Watkins kid from Corbin is playing at EKU.

Spoken like a parent acting out because what he thinks his son is entitled to... You have 2 of the most athletically gifted sons in the area, but you've made it clear for years that they are more deserving than others and they shouldnt have to work for anything it should be given. And i dont understand why because I have seen the competitive spirit and drive in those 2, but its a shame you wont give them a chance to overcome adversity. Its only my opinion but sports should be used as teaching life lessons and building men of character not just for the personal accolades. But thats just my opinion. As far as the situation goes my opinion doesnt matter where your children are concerned, you just keep doing whats best for them and dont worry about anyone else cause no one else matters. For me I'm perfectly content being a wanna be coach trying to raise my own to be men and women of character.

You are right your opinion doesn't matter and you are again sticking your nose where it don't belong. My son dalton has over come a lot adversity and has 4.25 gpa and a honor student and is loved by everyone that knows him, sp my friend he has earned everything he has gotten. I have never worried about people who just went with flow, to afraid to stand for what they thought was right or wrong even if it was't popular. I have made many sacrifices for my son and pissed a lot of none believers off but to watch him play for a state championship was priceless. I'm much older than you teach your kids that you will fight for what you believe that is the best lesson any one can give their kids

Need correct your spelling its Camron didn't you learn that in prison peeper :lmao:

Lets keep names of kids out of it if we r not talking positive. U wburg fans have lost it!

Boston is playing DE for Wofford, and got some playing time as a frosh.
When an injury happened, his name was called, and if im not mistaken, ended up making frosh of the week honors in that conference and ended up starting the rest of the year.

This is what I don't get about kids from this area. Boston and his parents were smart. He went where he will get playing time, contribute, and make a name for himself.
When you go to UK like Jones did, you get to play about 3 downs in 3 years. Except for the education, its useless from an athletic standpoint.

Heck I agree :Sad04:
I got the privilege of meeting Cherokee while in Bowling Green and I could not have been more impressed. A very classy guy and dad. Also got the privilege of meeting 64 and the dad of the kid who was the Williamsburg MVP, name escapes me at the moment, all 3 were great ambassadors for Williamsburg.
Truth is when Dalton went to Williamsburg almost everyone there didn't want him. He earned the starting QB spot in the third game of his sophomore season despite the adversity. Many have not wanted him there the whole time he has been there. If something went wrong the blame was laid on him most of the time because he was the quarterback. Yet he wasn't the one calling shotgun snaps from 1/2 inch line or 4 seam verticals against 8 defensive players in coverage or better yet how about that good old fade route against cover 2 or 3. Jackets never developed a consistent running game and seemed like a perfect throw had to made on every play. No screens were ran despite the good team speed at skill positions nor were receivers ever hardly moved around to give different looks. It was always just the same old. Every team they played knew what plays they were running before they ran them. Not saying no one on the team can't step in and be successful next season but they better be ready to carry the load of almost 90% of the teams offense and stay healthy. Not sure why those wanna rank all the great Williamsburg QB's who played before him or how so and so coming back is better. How many of those QB's helped get their team to the State Final before him. 0 That is not a feat achieved by one player it is the whole team but how are quarterbacks ranked, by wins. For a fan base who honors a legend two times every game, I would expect more. Last season was special don't feel entitled to get to that state championship game every year. I hope nothing for the best for Williamsburg in the future and hope they can get back to state championship next season and with the defense coming back they will be tough to handle.

Did you not watch UK this year? Cody started in their sets which used a fullback. Cody has got a good education and will be well prepared to face the world when he graduates. Cody and his parents were smart when they realized he was not NFL bound and it was not all about the athletics. An education is why most people go to college.
Russ Daniels from Wburg walked on at UK just like Cody and made the team under Jerry Claiborne...Russ was a second team LB who saw limited time on the field and gave up football his jr year to concentrate on academics...Andrew has the potential to be a D1 kid plain and simple...

Williamsburg tips it's hat to what Cody Jones has accomplished...
I think it is funny all the talk on here, but no one has an idea about next year at this point. I am sure Williamsburg will be alright, and have a really good chance to get back in the title game next year.

Lets Clear Some Things Up
1. Williamsburg would be lucky to have Cameron stay and develop as a QB.
2. Dalton was a very good player.
3. Yes, Andrew is a very talented kid!! Williamsburg would be lucky to have him come back out for football.
4. Skylar would be good playing quarterback, wr, rb, or whatever.
5. Williamsburg's defense will be good next year no matter what they decide to do.
6. Williamsburg is going to be very good, and it is going to be another fun year of football for the big Orange!!

Stop arguing over stuff that does not matter!!!
The water makes winners 64. Besides that got a lot of fishing within 20-30 miles on all sides of you.

1.Why would you not throw fade routes against 2 or 3?.
2. I would love to see Williamsburg get back to running their screen game!!
3.The running game was fine this year!!
4. Dalton is a great kid, and I am not sure what your talking about when you say he was unwanted. That is just crazy!!!
5. Yes, there is a lot Williamsburg could do to help the quarterback out!! Dalton did a very good job running the offense he was asked to run!!
Correction, Williamsburg could be good. But, if them boys are buying in to the same type attitudes displayed here about who should play where, they will be dead in the water because of all the inward fighting. It reminds me of 2007 when we had a very, very, athletically fast and talented team that got killed in the regional finals by a Frankfort team that got beat the next week. If the boys begin to disrespect each other like yall are they wont have a shot of making it back.

You fellow fans of Williamsburg need to read this post over & over.

Any team in any sport needs the total support from the coaches, fans, school, community, and teammates to be successful.
Agreed. Which is what I stated would happen in the class A forum. I feel that Williamsburg will end up shooting themselves in the foot at some point. These sound like supporters of an 0-10 squad. Not the state finals runner ups.
1/4bak Wrote:After Christmas the new coach will be introduced and yes a new beginning for Whitley football and a lot of interested kids from both Corbin and Williamsburg may want to be part of this program and be coached by al legend. Corbin has large numbers and can't play enough to keep people happy, throw in the daddy factor and you could see kids heading south, Williamsburg will graduate a lot next year and without a good recruiter they should return to their old form in 2015.

I think Williamsburg has been fine ever since 2003. Williamsburg has had good teams for some time now!!! I am not sure what you are talking about!!! Williamsburg will always get kids who want to play for them for two reason. They spread the ball around and let athlete make plays and they are all about the kids having a fun and a positive experience. If that is the old ways, then so be it.

Williamsburg is surrounded by lakes and streams too lol

55 you are very right! This problem doesn't have anything to do with our players. They are ready to play at any position that Coach Herron wants them too. They have all bought into his style of coaching and playing. All of this talk about who is going to be quarterback doesn't mean anything right now. It is very true that Andrew is going to play. I'm sure he, Skyler and the younger Sizemore boy will be happy to play at whatever position coach puts them at! They are just those types of boys along with the other boys on the team. They are willing to do whatever they need to for the best of the team. I know this for a fact because this mom spends A LOT of time with this group of players on and off the team.

This group of kids are very close, they don't hear the noise...Great news on Andrew, I had heard the same but your source is better than mine...
