Look, I'm not a Williamsburg fan, or resident, nor am I from Wayne or a fan of Wayne, really. I am just an assistant coach that loves high-school football and have seen most of these teams play, live, or from game film. You are talking as a fan, obviously. I am not even saying Williamsburg beats you guys, I have no idea and I picked Mayfield to win. But the Wayne county argument is ridiculous. They would win, solidly, by 2 TD's over any 1A team. You made the argument about McCracken, when Wayne beat a team that beat McCracken. Now this rivalry thing you are talking about, well, that can be true but it is still kind of guess work. The thing you were wrong about was saying these teams are more highly ranked than Wayne, which is simply not true. Wayne is ranked 16th in the state, and none of the teams in 1A are above that. A couple might be in the 20's, but not above Wayne. I'm not trying to make numbers up, just quoting the truth. So I will go along with, Mayfield is the favorite over Williamsburg, but trust me, they would not win a game against a Wayne, or a Belfry, and probably not against Louisville Central either. I don't say that out of bias, just from a football fan analysis.

I still have yet to hear the case? I'm just hearing a couple of guys claim that Mayfield is better than the possible 3A champ, and I'm sure in some years they may have been. But I have stated and made the case, with the best evidence that this isn't the case this year. No hate for Mayfield, no love for Wayne. Wayne has beaten teams, handily, that Mayfield struggled with, mightily. And Belfry very well may beat Wayne, so that's 2 teams I'd put above any 1A school, in 3A.

I really don't understand why we are concerning ourselves with the Wayne Co thing. They are a great team, as I feel we are. I think r&b is referring to litkenhouse ratings. We are ahead of them there, but certainly not enough to validate that we would beat them. It really doesn't matter, we don't play. What matters is that we can beat Williamsburg and I sure hope we do.

Mayfield is alot better than N Laurel and a little better than Wayne. 64 stay at home and save yourself the $ and sad and lonely drive home. You claim to be a coach, so what? I once was as well. If you know anything at all you know the LIt rate this time of year are very accurate and Mayfield is higher.

Mayfield and PT are rivals, the Cards held a 21-0 lead late into the game when PT got 2 garbage scores inside a minute of each other. Of course Mayfield then marched right back down and scored then PT scores a meaningless one at the end.

That is a very solid case for Mayfield
