The other difference is he was playing a real team look at the rest of Wayne's schedule. Kind of looks like Corbin's a bunch of not so good teams. I'm not taking anything away from Guffey he's a great QB but the Redhounds defense is way better then any other team they have played. I expect him to play well just don't see Wayne putting up 35 points again.

Your still pissed cause Corbin took care of business earlier this year up in Middlesboro. The Redhounds will be ready to go Friday. Henry Co. was a good defensive team and the 24 points that Corbin scored was the second most against them this year, in fact, Central only put up 21 on them. If the Hounds can hold Wayne to 3 TD's, they may pull off the upset.

I think that Wayne Co. has a team capable of winning the state this year, and if they beat Corbin this week, I hope they do.

Corbin will not be at full strength. Ledford is out for the year, Waddle is doubtful and I'm not sure about H. Reedy. Does anyone know if H. Reedy will play?

Once again the Cards and Hounds play and Bluegrass Rivals goes off the hook, funny after the Corbin game Wayne didn't even have a game thread up the last three weeks of regular season and to open the playoffs.

Wayne County folks are proud and for good reason 11-0 for first time in school history is a nice accomplishment and for the record the Cards are 3-0 against Class 3A top 10 opponents and also defeated a pretty good team in Williamsburg, so while not murderer's row, not an awful schedule.

The Cards are 3-24 all time against Corbin, but they have won the last two and are favored to win again Friday, so unless Steve Bird and Cotton Adams are making an appearance for the Hounds Friday night, I like Wayne's chances!

My prediction and thoughts haven't changed from 5 weeks ago, the team that executes the best, takes care of the football and wins the battle on the line of scrimmage and in the kicking game will win.
Wayne County has 17 seniors and home-field advantage, so take the Cards in a good one.

Guffey's game against Corbin mirrors his numbers for the year. The first game was not an aberration. Hounds can expect more of the same from Guffey.

Guffey has always had similar or even better numbers against Corbin.

2012, 10-18 for 209 yds and 2 TD's

For comparisons sake, Corbin has less than 150 total passing yards in the last 4 games combined, with the 42 gained against Knox Central being the high water mark. This is also the same time frame that Waddle had been injured.

I wonder what the defensive coordinator for Wayne Co. is planning on doing? I imagine the 6 hole is going to be very congested.

What the hell happens to your bobcats at Wayne? That would be unrealistic to say bell had a chance to beat Wayne. We have the ability to beat Wayne just because Corbin played the worst game of the year on log mountain don't mean bell is a better team. Your prize was a matchup with the BEST team in 3a the past few years. I hope we see you again on log mountain this year!! That would be AWESOME!!!

Your right Bell never had a chance in that game but you have to let the past go these teams are not the same teams from 5-6 weeks ago. Corbin is banged up and Wayne is hitting on all cylinders.

This will be a great game. The cardinals are riding high with confidence as they are going through one of if not the best season in school history. However, my gut feeling is that Corbin pulls this out in a minor upset. Redhounds have gotten better as the year has went on and I just think they will pull it out.

I see Wayne scoring three TDs. The big question is if Corbin can score more than three times. I sure hope Waddle and Reedy are healthy but Waddle looked really gimpy last Friday. I don't think Reedy even played but not sure. Corbin definately has the talent to win this game. Our backfield, defense, and line are a little better but Wayne's QB and receivers are a notch or two above ours. Two great teams going in to battle! This will be a war if Corbin plays and coaches smart.

I was saying waddle would be playing not because I'm in the know but because he sprained his ankle and a senior with a sprained ankle is not sitting out in a playoff game.
