Ashland @ Russell 9/13
#61
I do think Ashland will win by a couple TDs but won't be a blowout. A few minor details were corrected after the Greenup game. Backs outrunning their blocks etc.. Most have to do with being a young team. I do believe Peterman should get a few more touches during Varsity and shore up some soft spots a tackle.

I really miss when the Russell-Ashland game was a war. I distinctly remember those meetings when Russell went to state in the mid 2000's, those were blood baths!:redboxer:

2005 and 2006 were both classics.

2006 3 OT in my opinion the greatest game at Putnam I have seen.
#67
It was a classic.

The best game I have seen at Putnam was the Ashland/Bell Co state semi final in 1990. Followed closely by Ashland vs Cov Cath in 1988.

I think it could be a running clock for Ashland to much speed and the corners will have trouble stopping Baker. He will have alot of big plays like he did in the first game with NCC. Russell just dont have the big play makers(game changers) like they have had Conley will be good in the up coming yrs just not yet...Now before everyone goes off he is a good player now just not able to take over a game just yet....

We've been hearing this every year for the past four or five years now.
Same ole song and dance.

Yes but if you have watched the freshman and JV games the last few years then you know he us right Russell does have talent in its system. Just young talent.

He doesn't have very good reading comprehension. And for some reason he really seems not yo like Russell. He knows this is the year that most of us said would be the low point.

He just really hates Russell for some reason. I'm guessing it because he was jealous of the success the program has had. Honestly it's flattering when somebody enjoys when you do hit a down swing. Tells me that things have been really good.

Yeah that down swing is not having a losing season in a decade. Keep hating on the devils cause the up tick is coming after this season, anyone that knows anything about area football knows this.

I say ashland wins this year. Then it is game on for the foreseeable future
