Paintsville was the best team in 1996....
E-Town was the best team in 2000....
Shelby Valley was the best team in2010....
Christian County was the best team in 2011....
Madison Central was the best team in 2013.....

Class doesn't matter in Kentucky High School basketball.

Poppycock. You can argue that the Sweet 16 format shouldn't be changed, but to say class doesn't matter is just way off base. The Top Class A or AA team will beat the top Class 5 or 6A teams once in a great while. That Paintsville team was a once in a lifetime team with the players assembled. When was the last time a Class A school won it all before Paintsville? And none since and that was 17 years ago. Basketball is no different than any other sport. The big schools have a HUUUUGE advantage.
