Until the fugitives came fourth about web photos, damage to mailbox, and shooting of the house it has to be about knott as a whole. No other way to say it until then. And the chants wouldnt be so terrible if the other stuff hadn't happened. I mean really a noose and then shooting of the house in which the Canadians stay in. Wow

Just to add a name to the list of Melton's, Dixon's and Madden's: One Nick.Combs. Very proud of the whole bunch. Don't think 4 families can give a black eye to Eastern Kentucky ; that was done more effectively by others. I also think William Madden would tell them to take the Superintent's job and shove it, if they offered it to him. This is about Cordia School and the treatment of their students. The latest picture I saw today was of a black man hanging from a tall crane and the post said "meanwhile back in Canada". Guess that waspsted by just one kid being a kid. And shooting in David and Donna Melton's house Sat nite with grand children there...Oh that probably had nothing to do with the fact that the Melton's support Rhodes and having the black kids there all the time....yeah right

CORDIA, Ky. (WYMT) - Controversy enshrouds some mountain basketball players and their community after what some are calling racist pictures were posted on the internet.

Emmanuel Owootoah and Marlon King are among several black players at Cordia High School who transferred from Canada.

Last week several photos - including one of a Canadian flag with a noose on it - began appearing on social media web sites.

I hope the Dixons, Melton's, and Maddens got what they wanted- all of eastern Kentucky looking terrible over a couple of high school students. (the USA chant was harmless people!)

I would say they did get what they wanted. The Dixons 3 kids all 3 went on to be KY State Police, The Meltons 2 sons who are now teachers in the Knott co school system and last but not least the Maddens 1 very Intelligent daughter that I believe has made A medical doctor. I got 4 kids and thats what I want for mine. THAT IS WHAT I CALL SUCCESS. So I guess they did get what they wanted. Everyone who knows the famlies mentioned know how much they have done for not only Cordia but for the entire county and Perry co as well. They all have helped me at one time in my life. So with that being said not sure what you trying to accomplish when you said they had give Knott Co A bad name. If I am guessing right they have helped you to they have alot of kids in eastern ky! And I am sure they would be willing to sit down and talk to you about it if you have A personal problem with them.

Nothing is going to change the medias mind about Eastern Kentucky! Racism related or not, these types of things will always shine as a beacon of hope for all media outlets whenever it happens, they immediately tag it as ignorance and idiocy. Been that way for years.

Do anybody have any evidence of who damage the mailbox and shooting of the house was done by the same person or people that sent the pictures. Its a shame what has happen in the last two weeks. No excuses for what has happen but lets wait and see if the evidence link all of the this together before we jump to conclusion.

I heard from a very reliable source that Rodrick Rhodes and the cordia administration are the ones who sent the racial pictures to themselves to get publicity. They are the talk of the town now and everyone feels sorry for them. Not sure if its true? Just what I heard.

If those boys weren't good ball players everyone would be singing a different tune in lotts creek. If they were there just there to get an education I guarantee they wouldn't have families sponsoring them welcoming them with open arms. I thinks it's great, but this is getting ridiculous. Kids will be kids. No I don't agree with it or condone with what has been said, but that's just how it is. Some kids are ignorant. I'm sure everyone on here has said things in the past they regret. This was all started by anita madden, who is mad because her husband didn't get the superintendent job. She went to a board meeting and demanded everyone's resignation because board employees wore knott central shirt's. She said they were all racist. Hiring Rhodes and all the recruiting, was done just to beat BB king because he is the brother-in-law of the superintendent.
Now look what a black eye she is giving all of Knott County.

If you are on the knott county school board shouldn't you support knott central and cordia. I have never seen any of the school board or the admin. Wear cordia shirts.

Listen its people like you that keep this crap going! You and everybody else know that that is not true. Grow up and stop passing the blame. I am sick and tired of people from Knott county thinking that everything they do is OK and what for...basketball. Did you not see the news? Were you not embarressed? Both sides are guilty for sending stuff to each other. But stop and think about what else happened here. In the days before the game, two KIDS were sent nuices, hanging people, burning flags!! These are horrific and violent images...not something that you would turn your nose up at. And don't say well that was one or two students...because how many "LIKES" did they get. And then to turn around and scream "USA" again at these two boys and hang signs "Made in America". That's a little much don't you think. This is not about KCC vs Cordia. It's about two boys getting targeted. I agree the USA chant by itself...so what.. but to add it to the other stuff that's went on, I'm sorry but that's way over the line. Also, the principle dismissing the chants when he know what else was done, has made this much worse than what it has to be. If some people would have taken action when they should have about the pictures and apologized about for the student section then this all could have been avoided!!!! Why not just apologize and say "you know what, we went too far we're sorry"! I have yet to hear any KCC students, fans, parents, or KCC admin say this.
