I am a realist, not a guy that says my team is holier than thou no matter what. Everything will play itself out and I hope CC is finally on it's what back, because God knows this county could use another regional title.

Fox is about an inch taller than McDaniel but he probably is a good 20-30 lbs heavier. Fox had some nice dunks tonight Bobby! And looked like to me it was McDaniel scoring on him. Maybe it is because I somewhat help out with a small college team but Fox would
NEVER even be able to play there. Former D-1s and such. I just hate that style of play and maybe that is my only argument but like I said, we all have opinions. I hope we can get back also.

See that is the problem UKCC, I never once talked about the two (not too by the way) boys. All I said was Fox was the better player. You have run out of arguments so you are trying to start a new one. We are a better team than Jackson County right now but I guess it is a sin for a fan to think a player on the other team is better than one on his own.

To me, it probably had to do with not feeling like he was getting his due. He was decent at CC and that was it. The only thing he had was that you can't teach 6'6". I said that when he was with the Tigers.

It's a shame that mountain basketball has gotten much worse over the last 20 years. If I'm not mistaken, the "new" Clay Co. gym opened in '91. Clay Co. had a great team in '92 that should've won the state tournament. I've never seen McDaniel play, but 18 pts. in the fourth qtr. says one thing to me..."refuse to lose" and that's what people remember more than anything else. It's how you finish the game that counts, that's why they play 4 quarters.

well he did score 18 in the fourth because the ref call a foul every time he touch the ball when they was no foul and they let him go with a charge at the basket and as far as this being the best game that Jackson co could have play don't think so they had two of there best player hurt one the hold game you all can say what you won't to but if clay is the best team in the region then they should of had no problem beating Jackson co at home anyway but as you all know if you are true cc fans you know you are 10 pts under dog when you go there to play that's way the 12 region bring there on ref..and as far as fox and McDaniel go's they both play the way they need to for there teams to win and they got 2 player that make this team better then last year fox and wagers fox had 16 wagers 9 and 13 broads they both do what the team need them to do but jc has got 6 good ball player and they shoot the ball better then most them in the region and one more thing clay has played together all there life so they won't get much better jc only has played together for 15 game anyone know's basketball know's they will get better and be a hard out by season ends but anything can happ. God bless all and your nation we need it.

On another note, McDaniel's future is in golf. He's the best high school golfer in the state, and one of the best in his age group in the nation. I hear he may end up at UK with his brother.

The 13th has several very good PG's this year. I would say as a group, the best I have seen since the early 90's. (Carson, Brewer, McDaniel, Fox, Barger ,and Sanders). The kid from Middlesboro and the PG from Pineville are good players also. Congrats Clay Co. on a Big win also.

I was going through radio stations and actually picked up this game. It was in the 4th quarter and Jackson was up 14. Either Clay played extremely well or Jackson County choked. Hard to blow a 14 point lead in the 4th.

Side note. When did Jackson County climb the ladder in the 13th, I have read their scores online but I didnt figure they could go into Clay County and play them that well. Is Jackson that good or is Clay just down to the rest of the pack?

Jackson County has their second best team since 2007-2008. To sum it up, Clay County started off extremely slow and had to comeback late in an amazing finish by McDaniel. I still think it is 1A/1B at the top with Harlan County. This may be the most competitive the 13th region has been in years. You have at least 5 teams fighting for that top spot.

Hammons the sophomore from JC was lighting CC up the other night till McDaniel shot 10 straight free throws in the 4th quarter. Check the numbers this kid is puttin up this year u gotta throw some credit his way.

I do agree holding the ball is the worst. It's so hard to get back in the mind set of scoring after holding the ball.
