No Googie is at Russell not Russell County. He moved to RB and reciever this year. He's a tough little nut and a good kid.

When he was with Jonathan Jackson, Labront Scott and the other seniors, they were very dominant. It is a shame that not all of those boys are still with us. He probably would have been a receiver or back for us and a corner back here as well. He didn't much like playing qb.

Googie has good ball skills. Very good at corner just undersized.

rednblackattack Wrote:Hey research master go find some info you can spin to make Oneida look more than the mediocre team they are. But they beat Cumberland Gap. Ha! Ha! Cumberland Gap is a bigger school. Ranked 245 out of about only 300 or so football playing schools. Lol!
Oneida was the only team to defeat #9 Coalfield (10-1 on the season). Oneida went to the state quarterfinals last year and returned 16 seniors and starters to the team this year. How's that? LOL!
Now, go ahead and waste the next 20 minutes of your life researching Coalfield. http://www.coacht.com is a good resource. There, I saved you some time... you're welcome.

Nice bait but this fish aint' biting. I'm not going to give the kid's name or team. It's bad enough you dropped enough hints that any 7th grader with an internet connection can figure it out.
Comparing one kid to another only makes one look better at the expense of the other. From the film I've seen of Jackson, he's a HOSS and surely doesn't need you to make him look good.
Proper manners would dictate that you offer an open apology to the kid you offhandedly degraded. He'll probably never see this post but it's still the right thing to do. It'll make you feel better.
By the way, just because I'm able to disprove your theories, it doesn't mean I'm using a computer program... just good old-fashioned knowledge and understanding.

Avery, well Lombardi I am using a computer for you. Your powerhouse team in Tn, yeah Oneida is ranked in espn's super 25 as #120 in Tn. Wow that is tough. Now as far as an appology, if I had slighted a kid, I would but I didn't so kiss my a**. I don't have anything further to converse with you about, you will be gone after fri anyway.

You and rednblackattack are so predictable and easy to manipulate. I post something and you scour the far reaches of the internet (ESPN... very impressive) in a vain attempt to disprove it. It's hilarious. It's like playing fetch with a new puppy. He really doesn't know how to do it yet, but it sure is fun watching him learn.
Here, I'll throw you another stick. On the TV show Gilligan's Island, this was Gilligan's first name.... (cue the Final Jeopardy theme music).

We must have been right next to each other because I was at the finish line also on that day. Lol

Eww, I love trivia. I'll take a guess at this. He was kind of a goof that rubbed some people the wrong way. Was it Avery?

No, Gillian was much smarter and had a much better personality than Avery. Avery's last name is Pr$$$

Jarredd Jarrell ( Prestonsburg QB .... ) season stats , 170 / 276 3298 yards passing 32 TD , 11 int ... , / 124 / 623 yards rushing 9 TD ... ( new state record passing yards in one game ) .... good things to come if u continue to work hard , again congrats to all players on this list .... Mountain Football at its finest ...... :worthy:
For me ...
QB - Zach Carmichael (Anderson County) - Really nice touch on the ball, really accurate for the HS level. The main reason Anderson is as competitive as they are in 5A.
RB - Kentayvus Hopkins (Bourbon County) - I have been to a few of Bourbon's game this year, and I believe it is more impressive to watch him run behind such a dismal line, than it was to run free last year. Also, most defenses are selling out on him after last year, and he is still putting up some pretty good numbers.
WR - Ryan Timmons (Franklin County) - Hands down. Reminds me a little of Craig Yeast when he was at Harrodsburg. Great Hands, very football smart, and very very elusive.
KR/PR - Toss up. Ryan Timmons (Franklin County)/Snoop Johnson (Bourbon County) - Everyone knows about Timmons and his ability to return kicks for touchdowns, but the Johnson kid for Bourbon County is one of the best I've seen. They both have crazy vision, and they both have way above average speed. If I had to choose, the nod would go to Timmons, but Johnson is neck and neck.

Who all knows of players that will be going onto the next level to play next year from your respected high schools? And where at?

John Hardin has a few of the best.
Senior LB Domonick Brown-6 "1 240 lbs-Broke Most Career Tackles In School History. Domonick is fast and strong and in my opinion is the best linebacker in the state. He is a true monster in the middle. He is a Eastern Ky Commit.
Senior RB/DB Wade Holtsclaw-5 "10 195 lbs- 2nd Team All State last year defense. He is a two way player who was converted to Play RB this year. Over 1100 yards rushing on 92 carries 22 TDs. Averaging a whopping 12 yards per carry placing him in the top 10 in state history. Scores every 4.5 touches. Very fast and strong runner who is lock down on defense playing corner or safety.
Senior Rec-Dorian Collins-5 "11 185 lbs-Broke All Time Receiving Record for School going over the 1000 yards mark with 15 TDs on the season. 1st player in school history with 1000 yards in a season at John Hardin in a run first offense.
Junior DT-Matt Elam-6 "6 330 lbs. He was a 1st team ALL State selection last year as a sophomore. This year he has been very dominate on the line. He is a game changer in the special teams department alone blocking 3-4 punts this year. He is being recruited by the big boys Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Louisville, Mississippi State, UK. This kid is a man child.

Jonathan Jackson from Mayfield will be playing at the next level. Rumor is that Ole Miss wants him to be a RB, but he doesn't want that, he wants to be on defense. There has been alot of talk about Ark St, West Ky and Murray St. Here recently we are starting to hear talk of Ky or Vandy. It is for sure that one of these schools will most likely get his services on defensive side of the ball.

Yep using a cell phone and 5 min on the internet got 4 different ranking services all with pretty much the same rankings. However your genious shows us up again. Did great against a weak schedule lost their only playoff game. I have a good friend who coaches 2a ball in Tn and told me way before i ever had a discussion about Williamsburg that 2a ball was way down in tn this year. Said the top 5 schools were really good but after that there was a significant drop off. Oneida is proof a schedule filled with 2a or 1a schools and one really terrible 3a school. As for all those returning players so what if 16 guys returned those guys may have been scrubs the year before if they were 16 starters then what an epic playoff meltdown. I am sorry the 135 ranked 1a Coalfield Yellow Jackets that proves your point we all will now tremble in fear of Onieda. Oh yeah that research took me 59 seconds. Now go back to CoachT and scour Oneida's schedule for one single higher class win against a team ranked in the top 15 in that class and come back again.

Good post. Lets hope all of these guys who are still playing finish out the season at 100%. Even the kids who we might face. No real school wants to compete against anything less than the best

Being a Lexington Catholic fan I think you have over looked the injured Kyle Bolin. He is ranked as a 4 star QB. #15 nationally on Scout, #16 on 247 and #20 I think on rivals. Threw for over 7000 yards as a 3 year starter, against the toughest schedule yearly in Ky outside of Trinity. Headed to Louisville. Still upset he isn't going to UK but best of luck to him.
11-15-2012, 11:26 PM
Upset, why would you be upset. He probably heard the news that Ky is a Basketball school and they don't have a football team there. If he chooses to play bball, he might decide to move there. I guess he would have to do that his freshman year though.

I read this post and decided to "Like" it even before I saw who posted it. We have disagreed on other threads but on the subject of UK and its indifference to football, I agree 100%.
If UK wanted a good football coach, they would have made a play for a marquee name long ago... someone with a track record and the ability to recruit the top talent. If I'm not mistaken, UK was looking for a coach when Spurrier went to South Carolina. Did we even make a phone call?
11-16-2012, 11:02 AM
They just want the football team to be good enough that the fans will still root for them and bring in the money. They don't want to treat it like the basketball team though. That was going on all the way back to when Bear was here.
11-16-2012, 11:59 AM
I agree, 55, it seems UK wants just enough people in the seats at Commonwealth. Evidentally they don't need or want a sell-out every week. They'll need to do better than a (probable) 2-10 season to keep people coming though.
Their indifference extends to other sports besides football though. I've heard that Pat Summitt was offered the women's basketball coaching job in 1972 but UK refused to pay her moving expenses. She took the head job at UT two years later and, well... you know the rest.
Good luck to the Cardinals tonight at KCD and safe travels to players, coaches and fans.
