Knox Central @ Lexington Catholic 11/9/12
#31
This is a game a long time in the making!! The panthers will be ready to prove that a team from southern Kentucky can play with the high profile teams from Lexington and give them all they want. IMO lex Cath won't be able to stop our two 1000 yard rushers the only way that happens is if we stop ourselves ( fumbles ) are far as the knights passing game you might be surprised how good our defense will be. Don't over look the panthers thinking your going to move on to play RC or BC cause the Panthers will just send you home with a big chunk of that knight butt missing. This will be a good game panther win 27 - 21

I don't think that Knox is going to over looked by Catholic. Im positive that the Knights understand that they will have to play very well to beat them. I personally have a specific worry about this game but cant spill the beans. Good luck panthers in an injury free clean football game.:welcome:

I think this will be a great game everyone in Panther Nation knows how good LC is and we respect the excellent tradition they have. I think after Friday people will respect KNOX a little more this will be a hard fought game I think it will be close so I will take KC by 1 best of luck to both teams.

And what team has tested your pass D this year? Do not know how you can predict how you D will do against a good passing team when they have not been tested to the way they will be with the teams left in the playoffs. It is going to be hard to have your first taste of a good passing team in the second round of the playoffs. Hope your DB's and safety are quick learners.

If Knox can't throw the ball, LC will stack the box and shut down the running game.

The truth is we have not faced a team who can pass like LC. But knowing our players and the skills they have I contend we would have done even better against passing teams. Our secondary has speed and experience that few can match. The more you throw it the more we will pick it off. Looking forward to this battle.

Lexington,Catholic will win going away Lexington,Catholic 34 Knox 13. and Boyle will eliminate Russell,Co also.

Knox Central as excellent saftey in Barger if he decides to play football in college he has great chance to be special. Our cornerback are pretty good but our backers worry me they bite to much on play action Russell and Madison Central both explioted it.
As for as stacking the box they have been seeing this since the second game at times Russell was putting 10 in the box in the second half.

And they lost that game. My point exactly

They didn't stop the run. Knox Central fumble 3 times and still had a chance.

Knights to much for Knox

Now you know in your heart that you would much rather beat Lex Cath and put an end to our season than you would by beating knox central. Especially after Boyle had Catholic by the ba--- in the first game when Bolin went down near haftime.

I look at Lexington catholic football the way i look at Louisville basketball my favorite teams are Boyle,UK,and anybody who plays Lexington catholic, and Louisville.Confusednicker:

Lexington Catholic will win 35 - 21

I don't know who will win this game but I can tell you one thing. I believe that knox is just a little better then Bell Co this year and Bell came very close to beating Lex Cath. Knox is a lot like Bell style wise and it is arguable but I think that they could be the best team in the mountains this year when they are healthy and clicking on all cylinders. It is probably a toss up between Knox Central and Harlan Co. Knox did beat Harlan Co this year but it was very close and if they play 10 times it would be 5 for 5 IMO. With all that said I think this game will be very very close. If Knox can get the run going downhill I like knox but if Lexington can get the pass going then I would say they will win.

That I believe........I just figured any Catholic hating fan would much rather beat Lex Cath themselves....you know...just think how sweet that ride would be back to Bolye Co. after you had just knocked off us at our home field and be the team that ended our playoff run..............Confusedhh: unless you are really worried about how awful that same drive would be if Lex Cath ended Boyle's playoff run so you would be hoping that Knox beat us to save you the grief. Shame on you Bitter Jack. You should have more faith in Boyle Co.'s team. :moon:

Pretty big roll to play for a young, inexperienced back-up sophmore QB. Dont you think?

I watched the game he came when Bolin was injured and one game since and the kid is big, throws a good ball and was impressive. He has a lot of game experience since Bolin went down and he will be ready for this upcoming game. If I was a LC fan I would be more worried about my running game and my D's ability to stop the run.

Good point sstack. Time will tell soon.

Panthers win this by 1 point.
#52
I don't see either of these teams successfully stopping the other team's offense consistently. The Panthers may be able to get pressure through to hurry the QB, but I just don't see LexCath being able to stop the run game. I also give Knox Central the advantage on special teams (punt/kick return), and that may be enough of a difference.

That's where you wrong Knox can pass when they have the need too. Put 10 in the box of you want and the panthers will make you pay. Every team they have played this year have tried it and it hasn't worked to good for any of them even Russell couldn't stop the run (if not for the 3 turnovers that game would have had a different out come) either when you have two 1000 yard rushers who do you key on?? If you key on one (Canady) then the other (Gist) will burn you. Yes Lex Cath is a good team but no way will they stop knox's run game. The winner of this game will be the one who don't put the ball on the ground.

Just remember Boyle and Lex Cath are unbeatable by teams not names Highlands Confusednicker:

I'm picking Lex. Cath. because coach Letton is awsome
#58
Lex.Cath 28-14
#59
I could be wrong but, I think the combination of Knox being the outright underdog and LexCath most likely underestimating KC will give them the opportunity to win and I think Canady will have a huge performance in this one!

Knox Central - 31

Lexington Catholic - 28

Sounds like you're coming around Jack. I for one have nothing but respect for Boyle County football and most of their fans. Billy Goldsmith, who is an assistant coach for BC, is a very good friend of mine long before he and his son Boone, came there. I was talking to Billy after our last game with the Rebels and he told me he expected his team to either fold up and lay down, or come out swinging for the remainder of the season . Guess which one BC did?
