Johnson Central vs. Greenup County 10-4
#31
To make it entertaining you should combine the scores of both games. Fairview/Greenup vs Johnson Central/Paintsville. That would be a barn burner.

Somebody needs to keep an eye on that.

What's the over/under? That'd be some good Vegas action there.

Diogenes Wrote:Greenup will score. Guarantee that. I do not believe a shutout has ever been recorded in the Matney Era. He doesn't believe in it (despite the howls from people who like me who desperately, desperately want one). He actually DOES call off the dogs, contrary to belief, and he will mix in the JV and freshman liberally and early in this game. It may not even be a running clock, but I bet every kid on the Eagle roster who can safely enter the football game does so.
The only shutouts I can remember during the Matney era at JC.... (with a little help from khsaa.org)
1st shutout was against Whitesburg in the 2004 season.... 42-0
2nd shutout was against Lawrence Co. in the 2005 season.... 43-0
3rd shutout was against Mason Co. in the 13-1, 2006 season.... 40-0
4th shutout was against South Point, OH. in the 2007 season.... 34-0

Stand corrected. None in the last five years of the Matney Era. Smile
