Shelby Valley 91 - David School 6
#91
Personally, I think it's absolutely ridiculous and terrible for ANYONE to beat a team this bad. Im sure it really hurt their feelings, as well as lowered their confidence. They have the heart to play just as much as any other team out there....

Its high school not grade school. Who cares whos feelings get hurt in a game?

"DTA" Wrote:One of Davids coaches told me that several of the top players for SV played and were taken out after the first quarter but were told to check back in at the beginning of the 2nd.............they refused. Can anyone give actual info on this subject? Do not post an opinion, just post facts because if this is true I take back what I said about SV(players). This is a classy move by the players if it happened. As for the coaches:boosign: ,for even asking them to check in. Good Luck David.

this is not true.i heard him tell the varsity players that they were dont for the night at halftime.and they did throw in some jv players.actually 8th graders.i know its sounds like they tried to blow david school out but they didnt.they done everything except score for them!!

The poo doesn't fall far from the butt. :dump: Bottom line is that this was the perfect time for Booher to run some offense. Tell your team not to shoot until ten or twenty passes are made. WHere did Jason Booher come from? Some one said he coach the Hellier Hellcats.:lame:

Would you feel the same way if you were on that team? Or if your son was on that team? I think not.

They need to get used to it because thats how its gonna be until they get more players............it was wrong to run the score up but i wouldn't feel bad about it b/c its nothin new for them

thats crazy to say man, no need for that for real:boosign:
the poo dont fall far from the butt??? whats that mean??Your prolly just mad cause valley usually dominates and they will for many more years too come. I mean he had 8th graders in a high school varsity team should be able to do something with them...the only reason valley did play them was because it was a district game..and im sure ne other team that plays them will beat them that bad too...
ohh yeah and before booher coached the valley boys he was at belfry.and before that he helped bobby spears at valley with the girls team.
"Maui Nick" Wrote:Yeah ... thanks to the assistant superintendent of Pike County's schools Piarist moved to the 60th and David went into the 59th, even though both are in Floyd County. Of course, the Floyd County public schools remained together for no legitimate reason.

I thought they were added to the 59th and 60th districts because those were 3 team districts.
David and Piarist chose to join district play.

and one of those 8th graders started against us and the other came off as one of the top bench players so you cant say thats a good point ;-)
Yea, those are the same 8th graders that got held back for "maturity reasons". Go figure....
what a beating only 6 pts .......thats pathetic
the two eighth grader that play that night was elisha justice and cody varney and yes elisha has played some varsity game but cody varney played that one and i have not seen him back on the varsity bench and from what i heard when we play them the varney boy is only 13 that would make him not a hold back if i'm right
i think they should play the freshman, whoever that plays david should play freshman teams
Last year SF fresh. played them.
your right..the 8th grader does play on varsity but never has he started varsity. and he is a hold back but still he should only be a freshmen. well since is soooo bad that shelbe valley beat them sooo bad then what would u have done to MAKE them score.and he did play all freshmen or 8th graders the 2nd 3rd and 4th quarter so you cant say u would put in ur scrubs becuase that was the scrubs on varsity.
well elisha justice is a hold back but look at his size he needed to be held back if he wanted any chance of playing division 1 basketball he needs to grow.and u cant tell me he doesnt have the potential.and as for the cody varney he isnt a hold back.hes only thirteen so Go Figure.....

This is a complete lie...
OMG 6 points a elemntary school could score more than 6 points.

What size do you have to be to play division 1 basketball? Spud Webb played in the NBA and he has a lack of size. Body size wont get you in a division 1 school. Heart size will.

is it then im guessing #3 i think his name is Noah isnt in 8th grade ummmmm yes he is b/c he plays for Dorton and iMO will b the best point guard in the region his senior year and yes he did start so actaully it is not a lie...

how about i cant spell his name but MUgsey Boges.
LOL, I like mugsy or however it is spelled..... Maybe I should have held my boy back so he could grow to be like 7'2. I didnt know holding kids back makes them grow.... I even tried miracle grow and it didnt work LMAO

Elisha did not start. Logan Bryant(#2) did. Elisha played most of the game, but he didn't start.
