John Bentley may be at Letcher,Cent but would love to have the Hazard job but Happy will take it.
Leslie,Co will be open who will take that job????
Sizemore I was told was going to resign.
Cordia who nows????
I don't think Coach Bentley will leave Estill just yet. He's already talking about Next Year's schedule. Contracts he has to renew and everything. I don't see him leaving just yet.

I can't see Coach Hicks leaving Scott Co. Scott Co. is the best coaching job in the state. They have great players every season. Perry Central is a good program, but not on the same level as Scott Co.

All of this crap should be talked about after the teams have finished playing their districts, and regions....imo!!!!!!

Two jobs in the 14th I could see opening up:
Letcher Central - Two coaches I would like to see get it: Coach Noble or Coach Bentley
Leslie County - I can see Coach Mark Collett getting a chance

This talk has done nothing but help certain coaches. Athletes are smart they know what is going on. In the situation concerning Big Al since it has become more widely known that this is probably his last year at HHS in addition to interest from LCC at least one possibly 2 schools from Pike County have shown interest in him. I think Big AL is an excellent coach. No doubt one of the top prep coaches in the state. Anything I have posted on here in no way is meant to disparage him or the program at HHS. I almost certain he has made up his mind to leave due to conditions beyond his control. I also think that Al is a professional and will do all he can to take HHS as far in the postseason as he can. This only works in his favor. However he loves coaching and is not ready to hang it up. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

I just don't think we should be taking LCC out this year. When they play there best they are tough. Season isn't over yet. I still support all the coaching staff at LCC.

These types of threads should wait till after the season or in my opinion never start since we are "speculating" on something that these men have put countless hours in, had many sleepless nights over, and are now being thrown out to the ravens to pick over their carcasses

As a loyal LCC fan....Dont think that hammonds is going anywhere unless he wants to. He is in with the right people. Also think that he is tired of being at LCC. dosent act to happy and to watch him coach, he just acts as though he has given up. This season has been the BIGGEST let down since LCC opened its doors in any sport. I hope I can eat those words after district and region but its not looking like i will.
As for Al coming to LCC. We couldn't be that lucky! The BOE let Justice go knowing how talented Cameron was. I just hope that if they can get Al, Hatcher, or any other hall of fame coach who knows how to win they dont screw it up just like they did with the Justice's!

Rumor in the 58th is that Derossett is 1 and done. And South Floyd will be searching for a new coach as well.

Wrong. Beverly will be back. Cornett will be best big man in 14th. Pray will be back was a starter before Paige came on the scene. Would probably be starting anywhere else in the region now. Jon jon will be back. Also my sources tell me they will give Benchwarmer plenty to talk about next year. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

Great post I agree with everything you said and I hear too that Benchwarmer will be most unhappy next year.

I'm guessing the Somerset position will be open after tonight. This was the 10th straight loss for the Jumpers and they were eliminated from the post season by 4-26 Casey Co. This marks the 4th straight losing season for Daniels out of 4 season at Somerset.

Just his first season, gotta give the guy time.
UK gave Rich Brooks time and he helped UK go to several bowl games.
Cordia can't give up on Rhodes after one year.

Its not the winning that bothers me, its the coaching or lack of coaching...

Bentley will leave if the money is right....Hatcher will be back i believe, not sure but Billy Hicks is among the coaches that I was told from about the horses mouth that would probably take the JOB...And as long as Beverly is back Perry cent is not ging to let the program go down Transfer Centeral is already offering scolarships for next year it looking pretty good for next year i was told

I agree completely with this statement.
I have been told by several people who are close to Cordia basketball that he can't coach at all. All of them say he knows the game very well but he doesn't have the first clue on how to translate that to his players and get them to execute and play as a team.
The sentiment that was echoed by everyone I spoke to was that he thought mountain basketball was so bad he could bring the Texas kids with him and just beat everyone because of their athleticism. He quickly found out mountain basketball is better than he thought and just having a couple kids who can dunk will not win many games.
I would love for Coach Rhodes to build a good program at Cordia and bring in some great players to compete against the mountain kids but I don't see it happening. I will be surprised if he is coaching there next year.

These guys are professionals, this happens in sports..they're adults, they can handle it. The thread is about coaching positions, not a single position, and no one is going overboard.
Personally, I don't like rumors, but it's fair game for sure.

Billy Hicks wont come to Perry Central. Shannon Hoskins will be the next coach at Perry Central. Shannon will do a fine job if they keep bringing him plenty of transfers like they have for Hatch and Randy.
