This doesnt mean anything about steve Lavins coaching ability. He just has a freshman loaded team and I guarantee that he will have st johns back on the map with the big boys in a year or 2! I like the mans coaching ability and even more than that I love his wife! lol

Izzo has done a lot getting a lot of mileage out of what he's had.
But no one seems to notice that his arc is in descent. His last FF
appearance was a gift (actually as it was for all 4 participants that year)
that was granted courtesy of other teams doing the hard work,
and knocking off teams his Sparties couldn't beat. And barring
several plane crashes and hostage takings, it's VERy hard to
envision this year's edition getting out of the NCCA 1st rd,
if they get in.

He may recapture the magic, but based on what's been happening
over the last few seasons, he looks like a coach who has seen
his peak. And he's been competing in a GODAWFUL big 10 the last
couple of seasons, so it's not like he's been facing heavyweight
competition.

And the SEC is awesome talent? Get real man! The big ten is alot better than your SEC will ever be! Mich st. would mop the floor with any SEC team! ANY!
