Coach of the Year
#61
I really say Trinity's coach, they have played and won a heck of a schedule so far. no one in KY could have done what they have done so far.
#62
Dale Mueller of Highlands and Kevin Wallace of Bowling Green, with high consideration of Joe Morris at Mayfield.

Anyone he thinks Trinity deserves consideration is out of their minds. Sure, they have the national rankings consideration and the destruction of the teams on their schedule, but get real, they should be killing teams. This team does not real represent high school football in the state of KY. You can't put 2000 boys with an enrollment of anyone from the country who is willing to go to school there as a legitimate comparison to teams that legitimately have to play with the players from their local school district. Trinity represents everything that is wrong with High School sports of this generation. They, as well as St. Xavier, cheat the system that is Kentucky High School football. I'd be fine if they were not even eligible to compete in the KHSAA!
#63
Well Trinity is playing power teams from other states who do the same. Trinity is beating teh other states best teams and making KY look pretty good.

yeah they cheat the system, but beating the teams they beat has nothing to do with it.

trinity HC has to get this. anything else is stupid. Trinity is gunning for a national championship. I dont see them ending this season lower than No. 2 in all the major rankings. This has never been seen in KY, so he has to get it. Any other HCs in contention would have to be either a magical program turn-around story or an undefeated team with big wins.

You are rite its coach of the year and hawks fans are the only ones who would say that about Chapman. Did not say he was not a good coach, but to have your school on probation after a year that they were ruled to be cheating is a JOKE:moon:Sure some kids did not want to play at pcc so they came to a class winning program. Same distict and region not against the rules. Check adresses all you want like i said everyone complains all the time sure they all came to Belfry the rite way! A few transfered last year not to play football they dont get playing time yet, they did not want to travel to mingo central long drive for williamson. Like I said BELFRY has not been ruled or has ever been on probation nothing wrong with kids transfering but do it rite. You think i dont know the kids you are talking about they come to my home. You may not know it but my MOM was from WV my dad from KY lot of that happens when you live on the border! YOU want to play GAME ON AND YOU WILL LOSE! OH but you are used to that now arent you.:redboxer:

You have a point, but a team who is use to winning have alot smoother(I was going to use easy, but there is nothing easy about coaching) way of winning. These coaches usual have good coaches at the youth level and teach kids alot basics in grade school and alot of times introduce the highschool offense and defense in middle school. What i'm try to say is these teams who are not use to win don't have that and they have to build that program up. It is alot harder to try to teach kids how to win and believe in their self, than it is to keep kids winning who school has alot of tradition.Very few coaches who are establish don't take jobs were they are going have build a program from bottom up.

this thread isnt about school/probation or any of that crap... maybe you need to start a Belfry vs.Pike Central thread to keep this crap off other threads...as I said before its our opinion...FYI, that subject is getting old...move on!!!!
#79
And what quality teams has Belfry played this season? Their schedule has looked pretty week so far this season. Just Saying.
#80
Would another good name be the WV Pirates or the Mingo Co Pirates?
If it walks like a pirate and talks like a pirate must be from WV!!!!!

Belfry plays up in class every year Henry clay and prestonsburgh are not phelps or shelby valley. Getting ready to play a very good ashland team and johnson central at the end of the season. Remember why you finished 3rd in the district and why you would again this year if a 3 way tie were to occur again. The one decent team you played you lost. Nothing wrong with kids who want to transfer. No problem with PCC transfering the kids they did Boggs is a great QB just should have done it the rite way. We have a kid who lived in pittsburgh PA. for a time been here since middle school all our players played football at belfry middle school Not Wv or mingo central. It just makes you look foolish to say that stuff. All I done was point out why your coach could not be nominated for coach of the year. Haywood has always been a class act would never and has never put his program in jeopardy for any player its done rite or they wont play thats a fact. Look at our past sucess and you will find that 98% of our kids came from Ky over the past 25 years. You could only name about 5 or 6 kids who transfered from wv. Get over it!!!

I have not read this thread until today, because I think there is no way to pick coach of the year so early in the season; a lot can happen still! I think if you want to list coaches to keep an eye on that is ok.
#84
I would have to say That Coach Chris Tracy at Franklin County deserves a look for 5A. This is his second year at Franklin County and he has definatly turned the program around. Before he came to FCHS they had a 1-9 season, after he came he turned the program around with very few player changes to a 7-4 season and made it back to the playoffs and now this year they are on a 7-0 run and could win there District. If he keeps his Team Focus they could go 10-0 season.I think his accomplished sould be look at. Great job by him and his staff!!!
